Hey all,

I just bought a machine from the Playdium Store, and I opted to go with the delivery service for $220.

Just wanted to get your opinions and/or experiences.

Also, they told me the box is 31.5" wide, but when I measure my doorways, it's like 31". I live in a 10 year old house, so the doorways are standard size, not tight like older homes.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks :)

Might need to remove game from box, but might squeeze through.

Make sure you check the width once on your stairs because often if it barely gets through the doorway it then smacks up the railing.

does the delivery service include set up in your basement and leveling , for the $220 ? also change the balls to a new silver jet if there is no magnet in the game , if magnet get reg, balls . Ask doug at the parts dept . Sterns game balls are usually crap

If this is for your recently MMR LE purchase, it will fit just fine as the doors on my old 50's bungalow were very tight too. For Bally/Williams games it would only fit through the doorway oriented this way.

For Data East/Sega/Stern I had to orient the game this way in order to fit through the door because the angle of the head folded down made it > 30".

If the game with the box won't fit through your doors the delivery guys will take it out. I'm sure they have done this many times and will take the necessary precautions such as using shrink wrap or moving blankets to protect the cabinet. Good luck and congrats on your first pin!

Playdium's delivery guys are a joke. I can't tell you how many stories I've heard from clients where they come and set the game up, and it'll have issues and they just shrug their shoulders and leave. I've also seen these delivery guys forget to remove special shipping packing from inside the game that is attached to the playfield mech's too.

For what Playdium is charging for games, they should be including this sort of delivery for free!

I've had Doug (a.k.a. Menace) deliver, set up, and help me dial-in a couple pins in the past. Highly recommended. PM him about pricing.

I see in your picture that you have the forearm forklift straps. I think they are the best for moving pins.

Too bad I never used them the way they were intended as shown in your picture. I used it to tie around the machine so I had something to grip and hold onto while my brother in-law Keith was on the bottom.

Hmmmmm.... I've contacted Menace.

Would prefer to work with someone on this site rather than Playdium for sure.

I can rent a van and get the machine, if someone is able to meet me in Durham Region to move it into the house and get it all set up.

Thanks in advance :)

If I had seen your post earlier I would have been happy to help a fellow Durhamite (I'm in Pickering). Would have given me an opportunity to see a real live MMR in the flesh! :)

Appreciate the offer. Already got it home, but now dealing with trying to find someone to fix the opto sensor on the moat :(

If it's not covered under warranty I can hook you up with a tech that lives in Ajax. Lots of the guys in the hobby know Kim and he's very good. Let me know if you want me to PM his number to you.
