Hi guys. I changed a plastic part on a bumper of my Blackout Williams 1980. To do so, I had to remove the little light inside the bumper. Unfortunatly, I broke the little "diode" when I re-welded the light wire after the job. Now, my bumpers light on/light off is fucked up. When the bumper light is suppose to be close, there is like 30% luminosity instead of completly close. And the two other bumber are also buzzing a bit.

1) What is the best place to buy this "diode/rectifier/something"?
2) The is 100000 different kind of diode/rectifier. How can I buy the right one?

Thanks!

Those diodes on the lamp matrix in Williams pinball games are usually 1N 4004.
You can use 1N4004, 1N4006 or 1N4007 as replacement.

Where to buy depends on where you are located.
www.digikey.ca is great to buy on-line.

Note: semiconductors such as diodes and transistors are very sensitive to excess heat.
The device could short-circuit internally if heated too much for too long a period.
...Do not overheat lugs (on lamp sockets and coil) where a diode is connected upon resoldering your wire.

Bonne chance!
