Going 60 in 1 to MAME is certainly possible, but there's a few things to consider:
Monitor-If you have a regular arcade monitor, then you'll need to either swap it out, or get a card that can interface directly to it (is ArcadeVGA still a thing?-not sure on that).
Controls-You should be able to keep your existing buttons/sticks/panel, but you'll likely need to convert to an ipac to connect to the PC.
PC-you can get away with a pretty minimal PC these days, but if you need to be able to put in a PCI card for the monitor, then that precludes some of the really small NUC class PCs you can get, or repurposing an old laptop or something. If you have a regular desktop PC from the last 10 years though, you should be OK. I have a MAME running off a 2002 era Pentium, and I can run most games just fine except for the newest stuff in MAME (sega Naomi etc).
