Electrician in today, upgrading electrical panel and running new circuits and outlets in the arcade. I'll have 5 15amp circuits available in the arcade, so it will be future proof for a packed room full of pins all being played at the same time :).

I love these threads with the transition of a basement into a pin room. Wish I had of been in the hobby before I bought my current home. Not enough room for the pins I'd like. But then again, not enough $$ either!!

yes, keeping the tiles. they are fine, no need to pay the money to replace them, and I'm too lazy for carpet. I won't have to sweat the spilled beer and dorito crumbs on the floor :).

That purple is going to cover in 3 coats? I've never done a purple like that, but I did do a room in a strong red before. Took 5 coats to cover...never doing that again (at least not without a tinted primer). Of course, that's the beauty of paying someone else to do it for you-it's their problem :)

Visited the house again tonight after topl. second coat is up, they did the corners now. it looks amazing. If they told me they were done I'd believe them, but there's a 3rd coat coming, so it will definitely be fine.

I'll probably hold off posting any more pics till the room is set up.

Moving day. Man they made short work out of getting my pins out. I removed the heads last night. They wrapped in blankets and lugged them out. All 5 gone within an hour. Money we'll spent.

Hiring movers was the best money we ever spent. It was a friend of the family that moved us. He took one look at the pins and said: "At least they're not Crusin' USAs". Turns out he moved a pretty intense vid collection a few years back. For the pins, they didn't use dollys, carrier straps only.

Anyhow, good luck on the move!

I can't believe I even considered moving 1 pin a day over a week. So glad I didn't. Viktoria Moving Company (Toronto) if anyone is looking for a recommendation.

Machines are in the basement but need to be reassembled. Focusing on other parts of the house at the moment so I'm not sure when I'll get to them but hopefully by next week my room will be rocking and rolling.

My custom sign has arrived!

The door on your left goes to the laundry room and remains closed all the time. There is a door stop protecting the sign. the door on the right is to the staircase out.
