Its not NOS it looks like a very nice restore though. New plastics, backglass, playfield, poss cab redone as well. Unfortunately its an over-restore and few people appreciate all the work that goes into it. As a guy who both over-restores and appreciates the work that goes into it, I don't think I can get that done for under 5-6K with the donor EK.

Is the ad still up? I wanted to see it, but it looks like the ad is gone. Even tried searching kijiji, but no luck.

As a complete restore you need to break it down to cost of all the components, playfield, plastic sets, decals etc. If this machine is truly new still in the box, which its clearly not, then he may actually not be that far off to the right person. Problem is that finding that "right person" willing to go that high for that rare NIB collector pin is even more rare.

NIB on an old 35+ year old pin is not the same as a completely restored version. There will be two different types of collectors. The NIB all original will always be higher than a restored one with aftermarket everything. It is a dilemma that anyone who considers heavily restoring a pin faces, how far out of original do you take it. Again, it caters to different kinds of collectors.

Maybe this machine jumped the Snake river or the fountains at Ceasars palace.
Machine has broken every bone in its body and is still just like new.

Damn!
I'd love to see some of your over-restores

I recently purchased and sold two EK. The nicest of the two was $2100. I could've sent it to HEP and probably still be into it for under $10K.

If I did the work myself probably $5K? That's including the game, new playfield, redone cabinet, all new and chrome plated everything. Hell, maybe even throw in brand new boards and a colorDMD :D

There is no way I would even approach this seller's number. But that's just me.

You are always welcome at my place, it would be an honor.:D

I have 2 projects that I will be doing, a Fast Draw and BOP. I'm just waiting on the playfield from Germany for BOP, everything else such as ramps, decals, plastics have arrived. With the weather being warm I will begin cab work soon. I would like to make new cabs for both projects since my hobby is cabinet making and woodworking. I cant decide on chrome vs polished ss vs purple powder coating for BOP armour.
