Hi guys I just picked up a high speed I found out of town. The gentleman was 73 and had it sitting in the basement for 23 years he had told me everything working perfect. Of course this was not the case after driving 3 hours I found out otherwise but I am ok with that playfield is in really nice shape . I think the came needs some tlc but I think it will work out ok.

Here is what I need help with - dome topper light missing was a bunch of wires in the top where the dome light goes taped up. There is the noise maker for matches missing from top right corner also I just noticed there is a relay http://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/5580-0541-00 like this one missing from the top of the backbox and some wires that look like they would go there taped up. What is that relay for and what does it do and how would I find out how it is wired?

I see Marco has some parts for the dome topper but not the light reflector I am looking for the complete assembly.

Here is what I have coming so far - new power supply, new aux sound board, new pinscore led display system, new rom set ,

what is the correct part I need missing in the top right corner the coil that makes the loud noise if you match?

Thanks guys

The Little component on the top of the backbox with all the wires running off of it I guess I need to know what they all do and where they go. Just trying to familiarize myself with what is missing and what needs to be done not working on anything until I know whats missing here .

Thanks for any help

Here's the IPDB listing for High Speed:

http://ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=1176

On that page is a link to download the manual. It will have all the drawings and parts numbers you need.

The missing part is the knocker. The coil and plunger aren't there - I suspect a previous owner didn't care for the loud crack it makes so they removed it.

Great game. Unfortunately the only place you'll find a complete beacon assembly is off the used market. Seems many of these games had them removed at some point during it's life (likely due to ceiling clearance), and finding replacements can be tricky / costly. EBay and any of the on-line forums will be your best shot at locating a used assembly. If you do locate one, make sure it's complete with motor.

It's not impossible as I know other members here have been successful with the same search.

I would like to make friends with other high speed owners so I can ask a few questions from time to time with someone who does not mind helping and has a direct reference
thanks guys

Sweet thank you so much I may double check with you on wiring colors to the relay when the time comes got that relay and other things coming from Marco- new power supply not the nice one you have but the rotten dog one and new pinscore displays, new roms, new flipper power supply and new sound board - hope the system 11 board is ok rite now I have a weird electrical sound coming through the speaker all the time but sounds seem to be working ok - I know there are some missing hoping new background sound board or power supply will help.

If you have a slight "humm" from the speaker, that's normal. These games are commercial devices and were never designed to have high end audio...

more like a high voltage whistle or something hard to describe but I was worried I had a serious problem but the new sound board and new ribbon set has corrected the problem nice and quite now.

I'm a little bit confused here on the knocker I got a knocker kit from Marco today same coil as in your picture 23-800 but my coil does not have a diode should I add one and if so what kind?
Also do the two red wires go to primary on the coil my primary is on the left of the pin coil I notice your two reds are going the right of your coil is that the primary of the williams coil or should the two red wires go to secondary and black to primary?

Your location is killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Might as well say Dildo NFLD.....oh wait o_O
The -02 suffix on the coil wrapper dictates diode location. Add one in the same location with banded side to the double wire.

Lmao fixed it is BelleRiver any different then Dildo NFLD to you? ok but is the double wire 20 to 50 volts meaning it goes to 01 Primary coil and so the black wire goes to 02 . My coil did not come with a diode and it is the correct coil for this application have seen many knocker pictures with same coil no diode. so I am guessing the diode is an option but a smart one!

looks like a missing post. It's supposed to be on of those metal spacers with the screw the goes all the way through (not the ones that look like a thimble). You can probably get away with a star post.
