Hey... if the Pinball Refinery guys can do it, so can I :D

Trying to give this slow summer pinball market a kick in the pants and continuing the purge.

I am selling my minty HUO Lord of The Rings with tons of extras and enhancements.
The game is in phenomenal shape and plays beautifully. I believe I am the 3rd owner.
If Stern had ever made a "premium edition" of LOTR, this would be it!
But, rather than list out all of the stuff I've done to it, here are some pics and details.



*Full brass plated trim from Mike Chestnut (clearcoated)
*Oversized LE style side rails

*I replaced the original lockbar (with tournament button) with a normal version.
Had to change out the lockbar receiver underneath as well.



*Tom Wibble custom "One Ring" shooter with LED lit shooter rod housing.



Custom Middle Earth apron decals (on magnetic paper. originals are unharmed underneath) and free play cards.

Playfield is perfect!



Shooter lane is clean (I have protected it with clear adhesive vinyl which can be easily removed/replaced)



No wear anywhere

*I replaced most of the original weapons/staffs on the figures that Stern removed and added/replaced some additional figures where appropriate.

*Path of the Dead mod added with my own custom lighting for each figure (tied into GI) and additional green LED lighting added under the PotD to light the left orbit lane.





Pinbits guides added to prevent kickback from VUK and also to prevent ball drops onto Arwen plastic.

*Custom wireform on left ramp return to eliminate that ugly clear plastic guard (reversible)



*Yes, there is grass in the Shire :D
I've covered with a clear plastic protector from pinbits and also added target decals throughout the game



*Backlit Palantir mod with the eye of Sauron
*Balrog has been taken apart and LED light Balrog kit installed.
*Cliffy's protector installed at the saucer



*Special Pinbits character retainer plastics and protectors. Notice there are no longer any black zip-ties holding the figures in place.

And... last but not least.... shaker motor mod!
In order to install a shaker on a standard LOTR you have to trick the game into thinking it is an LE.
I got some new ROMs burnt, a kit from pinbits and a shaker motor. It took a few steps but works great now. Hits to the Balrog are awesome!

I also have upgraded flipper coils from PBL (not installed), several leftover figures/weapons (including witch king), red Cliffy's post sleeves (not installed) and various other bits and pieces.

I don't know about that Rob... he didn't send the screws and nuts out to be brass plated too. Talk about cutting corners :lol:

Yeah.... in January :FP:

I'd really love this game to go to a friend. It is a super example and nicer than most LE I've seen.
