Just wondering if the extra's are worth it for Metallica? For Some games I've noticed that the Pro plays better and is preferred, is this the case with Metallica?

The pro is nice.
The "modified" pro is beautiful.
I have not played the LE yet, so I can't help there currently.

I would say save the money, get a Pro and add in a set of spinners for both orbits. There is a write up with some details on how to do it here:
