To accompany the upcoming code release Stern is letting the fans choose two extra songs to be added to Metallica pinball.

I'm loving my Metallica, such a fun game, glad to see the code update is imminent

This is actually quite a nice "reward" for having folks wait so long for a code update. Seems that Stern has finally turned a corner--listening to the opinions of their fans (a large majority being home use buyers!) A welcomed departure from Gary's "Screw'em, we're a business" attitude.

I voted, however, I'm not a Metallica fan whatsoever...just picked two songs I vaguely remembered from their first couple albums.

Notice how most of the top songs are before the Black album - the best years for Metallica

Nice, I voted for Blackened and Trapped under ice. Long shot on the latter, but looks like the former has legs....

Stern also announced expect a code update toward the end of the week of March 17.

Given sparky on the playfield, it's really weird that Ride the Lightning wasn't in there to start with.
