Checked with SB this morning. Still waiting to hear from PPS on eta is the response. Apparently SB is supposed to be some of the first to get shipments.
We will see...
There was some noise about the LE numbered plaque on the apron being a peal off cheesy sticker. Here is a better pic someone posted to confirm it is not a sticker.
Based on the box in the pic above and looks like at least 103 MMRs have been built and delivered so I guess check what number you are and just keep checking the pinside unboxing thread. Very happy for all your MMR owners can soon start playing your game instead of reading all this drama about coin mechs, trim colours or improper decal application from the factory.
This is the best news in pinball right now. People are getting new games with finished code that are fun to play.
With all of these mmr games hitting the market it gives hope to guys like me that would not be able to afford a 10k game. Here's to waiting for the resale market.
So what's the actual story with the colorized displays? I thought that the deal was that it was a single colour LCD for now, but that they'd support a full colour ROM down the line-is that still the case? I figured that with the production delays that there'd be time to finish the new ROM for this game.
It's not mine as I have very nice original HUO example I picked up a year ago. I've just been following the pinside MMR unboxing thread just to get an idea on how many Stern has produced and it was going slowly up to #118 and then noticed it jumped straight to #444. Hopefully this is a sign they are almost done running gold and will be doing black and stainless trim next.
