You will need to get a replacement coil and replace that first.
Yes, those transistors can be replaced by a tech. without getting a new board again. Easy.
I think there is someone (Tommy?) doing quality board repair in Ontario.
He is probably a member here, and he is also on eBay.ca.
You should check Q2 on your new replacement driver board - take the new board out of the machine
and test the transistors the same as you did for the 1st board. If you are lucky, it survived.
If your DMM beeps then it shorted too.
Q2 I assume from your description of the transistor location above.
Associated diode D12 will need to be checked as well on the driver board to ensure it is good.
Typically they are OK.
I am not sure how often drive transistors are an issue on these newer machines, feel free to check google and pinside.
