Wedge head- I totally agree with you. (I guess I'm kicked outta the club too)
I've sold a game at a good price before. It was for what I paid for it, not including any upgrades I put into it. I wanted to get into this hobby with good karma and didn't care to make a buck off anyone. Within weeks the same machine resold for almost a grand more. That kinda made me feel like a tool in this unknown world of pinball. Since then I've never made a profit of a game, but my costs in parts and in time are considered when selling a game.
Kijiji is a horrible place to meet and deal with people. And it's fine for collectors to happily trade amongst yourselves, but for the rest of us that are new to the hobby it's all we have to deal with. Almost everyone on kijiji will immediately try to talk you down 25%. Then there's a lot of overpriced games from commercial vendors on kijiji that new guys to the hobby think are priced well. Even a lot of for sale adds on pinballrevolution are a couple hundred bucks more for the same machine on kijiji. (Welcome to the club).
If I was outbid on a "done deal" then I'd be pissed off too, damn right I would be mad. I probably wouldn't deal with that person again. But the chance of finding an honest buyer or seller on kijiji is a craps shoot. I've had "done deals" before with people not showing up, that's just as furiating.
