I went out and checked the games out. There are six games - Abracadabra, High Hand, Ali, Faces, El Dorado and a gun game. All of them are very rough - the cabinet on Abracadabra has no back for example. No glass on most. The backglasses are mostly bad. He wants $500 for it all but honestly it's not worth it.

However, if you've got the space and need parts, they're not so far gone that they wouldn't be useful for that. I just don't have the space or time to deal with it.

Anyone check out this Guys and Dolls? My boss is interested in one but he is not a pinhead and EMs are not my thing.

Guys + Dolls is a woodrail, but isn't exactly a pinball machine. According to ipdb it has: "Six High Powered Pop-up Posts" at bottom of playfield are activated in unison to propel the ball upward by pressing either flipper button on sides of cabinet." Neat piece + design though.

Looks like the El Dorado is actually Solar City based on the photo of the playfield (2 player instead of 1 player)

Did anyone here obtain that jacks open after the interview process that was an itemized list of instructions on potential of purchase?i passed on one about 6 months ago and have been kicking myself ever since.i think I was a little pinball heavy at the time.

Anyways I wasn't about to go through that whole rigamarol of having to visit multiple times to secure the recent one.i read that letter sent to me and thought... gee it isn't the freaking Mona Lisa I want to buy here...

I was close singlezero. I agreed at $1000 with the seller and was going Saturday. He messaged me saying it was going to his brother in law and no longer for sale. Maybe true. Maybe someone else offered more or got there before me. Not sure but when are you ever sure of what really happened when you miss a kijiji sale? Lol

It is only 1 aspect of the hobby; and more things happen in person, where we gather.

Agreed, chasing the games is kinda fun as well as the pinball gatherings. Heck even having you kick my ass in every game we played together last was fun, albeit humbling.

Yeah, there's 89 pins listed there. It's pretty hard to believe that someone in Canada has 89 pins from the top 20 list just sitting in their showroom, including multiples of rarities, and no-one else knew their showroom existed.
