Slugfest - $2000 - London
http://www.kijiji.ca/v-toys-games/londo ... nFlag=true

Wow! $2K for a Slugfest??? I should put mine up for sale at that price. We could get a bidding war going
Id consider a slugfest, but not nearly at 2k.

There was a time when you couldn't give away a Slugfest, no matter what the condition is. I owned one, paid a whole whole lot less, in good condition, and I regret selling it on (went and bought a whack of collectible cards for it to dispense for my kids to win when they played). They didn't play it much. Needed the room. Still haven't gotten around to eBaying the cards.

It is a perfect beer drinking challenge game for two or more (waiting) players. You can play for hours with enough beer and a competitive spirit. In a small collection, or for one player it is a, yawn, ho hum, and will spend most of its time sitting quietly at the edge of a collection.

Devil's Dare - $700 - Maple
http://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-image.html? ... nFlag=true

Went to see this machine and here are my findings.

System lights up up when powered up but unable to to start.
Playfield is bad.
Playfield has a lot of mylar on it.
a couple of playfield plastics are cracked and broken off.
backglass is very nice.
System is clean inside and out

Owner had it repaired about 6 months ago but it failed again and now looking to sell it.

Wanted $600 firm and I thought it was not worth that much.

For those who's grail or favorite pin is High Speed someone just listed a pretty nice HUO example on pinside here for $2200:

https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic ... looks-like

There are some issues with it such as some raised inserts but overall a pretty clean game and you often don't come across HUO games from that era.

Re: "Not Mine" Pinball Machines For Sale

The insides of that machine looks brand new! So clean. What's the premium for a U.S. machine? Exchange rate plus HST?

Yes hst on the Canadian $ amount not the US. So if you pay $2200 US they will convert that to Canadian and charge you hst on that amount.

Don't worry Totem is back and even closer at $950 now.
Is it the same machine? who really knows...

i just sort of found this section and it was referring to another Totem that had been previously posted in minising for 700. i can say for a fact it wasnt the same machine as i bought the 700 one(for a bit less) . it is however nice to see a machine listed for more than one pays for one even though it is comparing apples and oranges. And i dont really have intentions of selling it at this time.

i have been buying machines with very little knowledge really and i probably have lost on a few and either won or did ok on others.

there is one in my repetoire that i have been debating on selling Machine X . now i paid 800 for it travelled 4 hours to get. since i travelled another 2 hours to get some issues repaired Cost of Repair was very reasonable $80. the machine doesnt really fit my collection and i was debating on putting it up for sale around the 12-1300 mark last week. I have seen the same machine for (and i think its still available 1850) and since i started debating a very nice(at least by the pictures) has come up for a 1000.

Now i know ill probably wouldnt get that for the machine but i am just curious... am i being a schlamboozler/scam artist for wanting that kind of money for it? Chances are 50/50 that i would get that but ...as ive met some great people in my relatively short time collecting, i do understand Credibility goes a long way if im planning on enjoying this hobby

No - ask what you want for your games. If your games are in demand, they will sell, credibility has nothing to do with enjoying this hobby.

This is the point I try to get newbs to understand, people can complain about the machine prices, talk smack, say the guy is the best or worst crook in the world ( on or off the forums ) and then somebody buys the game anyway. What's the point of even debating it... we've all seen it time and time again.

Welcome to the "online world".

This.

Honestly, list your games for whatever you like. We all like to complain about rising prices.. about everything, not just pins. :) It's human nature lol

It's a public forum for a niche community though. Take that however you will.

Best plan is to just not tell people what you paid. It causes tension.

but the real question is... what game are you going to be selling, and can I have first dibs? :D
