I tried e-mailing today and got bounce back notices from all 3 emails. I was able to phone in and get ahold of Robert though. Super nice and super helpful even if i missed the order by about 20 minutes or so.

This thread is older and lacking replies of a more recent nature.

What's the current best place/contacts to get parts here in Canada?

Was wondering the same thing. Especially smaller parts that you don’t necessarily want to pay $20 shipping. Molex connectors/ pins etc. Sayal doesn’t really hold anything anymore.

I managed to find some switches and diodes at A-1 Electronics near Sherway Gardens in the GTA that worked for my JP. The store is ridiculously unorganized and he doesn't like taking credit cards, but he does have quite a selection of electronic parts.

In Canada buy your parts from Absolute Pinball. They are awesome. I've ordered a bunch of stuff from them. Better then most out there in Canada...

I need to make this post as I'm VERY impressed with Starburst. I put my order in yesterday (July 31st) and received my order today (August 1st) less than 24 hours later. Will use again for sure and recommend to everyone!

They were also able to track down and supply a very specific game part I needed!

Tired of paying ridiculous shipping fees from American pinball companies? Little did you know, you can order your parts through the Starburst Parts Store! Starburst sends regular parts orders to Pinball Resource (http://www.pbresource.com), Marco Specialties (http://www.marcospecialties.com) and Bay Area Amusements (http://www.bayareaamusements.com). They allow us collectors to hop on those orders, so feel free to contact them below. Be sure to provide them with the supplier, part name, part # and price.

I've never dealt with the Montreal guys, but the Toronto guys are AWESOME!

Since Covid struck I recently ordered from Starburst/Cineplex/Player One for PBR parts. Prices are high even allowing for pinflation. They charge double the US prices posted. Even allowing for the exchange rate they are pocketing at least 25% on every order. Pinball is an expensive hobby in case you hadn't noticed.

I think PlayerOne does a good job with their parts department. If they were only taking home 25% I don't begrudge them that at all... time is money and it takes time to order and receive and package and inventory... oh... and to try and make a profit to cover their overhead at the same time I suppose. I agree with the sentiment pinball is an expensive hobby. Best prices seem to be on in-stock everyday items like bulbs and regular rubbers, you can walk in now and grab something in a pinch and play a couple of games from their amazing collection.

When I was there the showroom was powered down, no free play. I also had to pay upfront on my order. Don't get me wrong, it's good that they're out there but they are a long way from where New Way Sales used to be. They had everything under the sun and a good service department too.

Its scaled back a bit from the Covid but I played about 10 games on the Stranger Things LE while picking up a few things just last week.

I am so done with these guys. whether you want to call them Starburst, Cineplex or Player One. They now have very little in the way of in stock parts & Steve Young at PBR tells me that they're only sending in special orders and not restocking standards items. The final straw last week was contacting Danielle in parts & asking her to source common light sockets that of course they didn't have in stock. It's been 6 days with no reply. It looks to me that these people don't give a damn about customer service & are just waiting to close their doors forever. I used them because it was convenient, close to work and they had a good stock. I survived long before they came around and I'll be here after they are gone. I will now take my pinball needs to other businesses located within Canada, I support Canadians. Special thanks to the revolution for connecting me with other like mind pinball enthusiasts.

Danielle contacted me after I placed an order via email. She wanted me to do the legwork for part numbers and pay up front. I never went to P1 for their great prices, it was knowledge (Doug B) and convenience. Buh Bye!

I place my first order with RAB at Alouette, got my package a few days later. Couldn't be happier with the service and the pin talk with Rob!!!
