We all love it.
That is why we are here.
It is time to document our activities.

Last night, there was a very last minute gathering.
At my shop, many of us met up to move some pins.

I am still so tired from work, I am a walking zombie.
However, several of us met up regardless of this.

Mike Wong, Menace, Spiroagnew, Drano, Brewmanager and I all gathered at my shop.
Pins were moved and shuffled.

If you want to share, it is up to the people who took the pins away to add to this thread if they wish.
Tell us what you bought, sold and moved or tell whatever you wish about what transpired.

3 pins left, plus a partially populated pf and some parts went as well here last night.
Cheers gents. Thank you.

Sorry I couldn't go to Pinsum.
I was truly tired right out.
Next time.

PS: Drano crushed the Canadian High Score on my C-37 last night. It was EPIC! Congrats bro.

I was not informed of this secret society meeting.

:(

No secret society. You are welcome Josh.
Blatantly public pinball fanatics. (BPPF)

Drano wanted Ottawa pins.
Rob wanted a playfield and flipper coil.
Menace was available after a client pin repair.
Walt and I are bro's, and Wong appears everywhere.

Good conversation on the phone today. Good luck hunting that next pin Josh.
Announce it here on this thread if you bring it home. Cheers bro.

So, if I read my pin-brother's intentions correctly here, it is to shed light on the fact that there is a real and palpable pinball community out there. We may sometimes forget that while typing away behind our little avatars.

No, we haven't all been friends for years and there isn't a secret handshake.... well, not really :D
All (or most) are welcome and it is this hobby that has brought us together.
We seem to move in various circles as far as I can see. Some are 'OG' and others like to compete. Some collect and restore and some of us are simply loners, maybe afraid of dipping our feet into the water. It's okay, that was me 5 years ago.

I may have come a little late to the party and haven't been bonded to many of you via early morning meets at the, now defunct, Starburst auctions, but I still greatly enjoy the company of many of the people I have met through these forums and hope that new experiences and adventures will continue to enrich my time within the community.

So yes, some of us met up last night to assist with the unloading of a truck that was well laden with pins returning from the Ottawa show, as well as pinball spoils procured in and around the show.
A tired warlock and sick brewmanager were not going to make the trip west to drop off games at my door, so instead we headed east and, with the help of others, games were unloaded and some came home. a couple more will follow shortly. Afterwards, a late night treat of dim sum and some laughs. Somewhere in between we played a little pinball and some classic vids.

Finally, driving back to the west end at nearly 2:00am on a school night to drop Farfalla and Space Station in my garage (thanks Rob). High Speed and F14 will come home soon as well. And..... that is all.

A small piece of the offline world.

I will be honest though; my first reaction to threads like these (which I have used on here before) is always:

Today was the Warlock and Brewmanager show. Walter was on his game in full force I must say.
My STTNG finally came out of my house to my shop. (It will be a future Menace Files chapter)
Drano's beautiful CV (The nicest that Walt and I have ever seen) came home to my basement.

Walt and I proceeded to move 10-12 pins around from the Ottawa Show.
4 pins remain left to shuffle tomorrow from Walt's thru Barry to Drano.
These "pin shufflings" do seem complex, but have become very simple.

We all try to help each other out to get these pins where they belong.
The long road to the final destination for me may never really end.
Thankfully, I will soon be content before the coming winter.

For now, all is proceeding as planned.
Who knows what will happen next.
More soon. Salut.

Thanks Walt.
You rock.
Cheers.

It ended for my 3 year old daughter this morning. She finally came up to me this morning and ask me to cut the red wristband off her arm. I had been asking her everyday since the show ended last week, but she kept telling me "No!" in a very stern manner. She had been wearing it to daycare, the grocery store, and we even did up a family photo with them on for my son's senior kindergarten family tree;

The meet-up last week was completely by surprise. I was downtown doing a repair for a client and I just happened to touch base with Scott on my way out of the core. Turns out he had a game for another collector friend of mine and asked if I could take it for him, to which I happily agreed. What I thought would be a nice quick visit turned into a 4 hour gathering with the guys! Totally unexpected but glad I was able to hang out with everyone as usual. A few games of pinball, couple of beers with tons of laughs... always a good time. Finally met Spiro, hopefully not the last time I see him out at a gathering and looking for ward to meeting more new faces at the next one.

About to do it all again from now until Christmas in the next 83 days.

Plus some vids to go to make room for other vids. Good times....

Sometimes, we are so busy behind the scenes, we forget things.
Walt is searching for Brock's Pantone book.
I am searching for a board James sent me.
Dammit, incredible! Walt + I lose nothing. (hardly ever)

FYI:
James is (Grauwulf)
Brock is (Revolution and/or Pinball Customs)
Walt is (Brewmanager)

Oh, and many of us are moving pins around like crazy lately.

Wongneau has 2 incoming.
Wong has 1 outgoing.

Reg has 1 incoming.

Drano and I are both, well, lots on the go.
Brewmanager and Menace were both busy.

Barry is moving stuff around and is likely the "Hero" of the last 2 weeks.
Barry moved more stuff around this week than anyone I do believe. Cudo's.

Barry and Reg put the "younger of us" collector's to shame this week. Well done.
All I can say is that we are "newer" on the earth and more "fresh" maybe. Keep it up.
One day we will get there, perhaps.

FYI:

Wongneau is Mike aka Wong aka Wong168 aka Wongneau aka enabler
Barry is (Superjackpot)
Reg is well, Reg! (Bigbossfan)
Terry (Budfan) is moving pins with Reg, no doubt.
Adriano is (Drano)
Doug is (Menace)
Walt is (Bremanager)

I'm Scott most days.
Some days, Warlock.

Cheers, salut.
More soon.

The boyz can post what pins moved where.
That isn't my story to tell.

Mine is just to state that it is all happening, constantly.
I am happy to be a part of this very active system.
Anyone can join in, anytime.

All the very best.
