Format Change! PinBaseball was met with a resounding lack of interest, so we'll be going back to the format that was so successful at Luch's place!

Due to lack of interest in PinBaseball, I'm changing the format on April 2nd.

We will be playing a Head-to-Head Matchplay tournament. Doors will open at 4:00 pm, and the tournament will begin at 5 pm sharp. We will be playing as many rounds as possible, but no new round will start after 9:30. The top 8 players will make the playoffs, top 4 will receive prize money. Playoff format will be a ladder format.

Tournament cost is $25, which includes a $15 donation to my family's efforts to raise $5000 for Free the Children, to provide a Primary Education to children in Rural Ecuador, and $10 to Prize Money for the top 4 players.

Space in my basement is limited, so register early to avoid disappointment. Please click on the Contact link to register for the tournament. I am assuming that those who registered for PinBaseball are still in, please let me know if that is not the case.

Please visit www.portunionpinball.com to get more details and to indicate your interest in participating.

Interesting idea for the format-I take it that the "runners on base" are cumulative between games? Is there another rule that says that finishing the game below the first objective is an "out", and that at 3 outs you lose all runners? Means that the order you play games in could really matter-e.g. if I have the bases loaded, I'm going to go for a game that I'm pretty sure I can get all the way through on, instead of something that I'm not as confident on.

Thanks Chris! Forgot that in the write up. Yes, if you don't get a single you're out. 3 outs and you lose all your base runners. You still continue to 9 games played.

I'm expecting to have 10 setup, possibly 11 if I can get Argosy happy.

Tournament goes tomorrow - still have two spots available, although we can certainly play with what I've got - I've just got more machines than last time.

Argosy and Black Pyramid are now confirmed and ready to go in the lineup. Thanks to McMean for the fix on Argosy - and the tilts are 100% now!

We raised $260 tonight, bringing our grand total raised to $4147. The donation has been made and can be seen by following the link on the About tab at www.portunionpinball.com Congrats to tournament champ Meegis! Results will be uploaded to the IFPA as soon as the site lets me.

Next event will be in late May/early June, and will hopefully get us very close or even over our goal. Thanks to all for their continued support.
