Pinball Lifecycle

I don't know if we can do a poll (maybe on the new site!), but, I was wondering where people were in their pinball lifecycle:

1) have lots of room, give me more pins!
2) I'm maxed out, just rotating pins now
3) I have too many pins, downsizing

I have sold my pool table, gotten rid of my gaming computer desk and foosball table in the past. I have also rearranged my 11' x 22' room three times over the years going from 4 pins to 9 pins to 10 pins and even managed to squeeze in an 11th. Here are the ones that have come and gone since I started in this hobby:

11/12/2010 - 11/16/2010 - High Speed
11/19/2010 - 08/13/2011 - Demolition Man #1
11/26/2010 - 04/10/2011 - World Cup Soccer '94
02/13/2011 - 05/11/2012 - The Flintstones
06/19/2011 - 08/13/2011 - The Simpsons Pinball Party #1
08/13/2011 - 06/01/2012 - Johnny Mnemonic
10/28/2011 - 05/11/2012 - Judge Dredd #1
01/07/2012 - 01/23/2012 - Champion Pub
01/25/2012 - 09/02/2012 - The Shadow #1
03/10/2012 - 07/23/2012 - Guns n' Roses
03/25/2012 - 03/12/2013 - White Water
06/01/2012 - 10/29/2012 - Ripley's Believe It Or Not
06/24/2012 - 09/02/2012 - Revenge from Mars
08/31/2012 - 06/21/2013 - The Lord of the Rings
09/02/2012 - 11/25/2012 - Xmen Pro
10/30/2012 - 04/19/2013 - The Simpsons Pinball Party #2
11/25/2012 - 01/27/2013 - Cirqus Voltaire
12/29/2012 - 01/23/2013 - Baywatch
01/27/2013 - 04/26/2014 - Spiderman
01/27/2013 - 10/06/2013 - Star Trek The Next Generation
04/19/2013 - 06/13/2014 - Demolition Man #2
04/30/2013 - 09/26/2014 - Tron Pro
06/21/2013 - 07/27/2013 - Indiana Jones The Pinball Adventure
09/26/2014 - 11/02/2014 - Demolition Man #3 (bought back #2 )
11/09/2014 - 11/21/2014 - No Good Gofers

I'm pretty content with my current line up and should realistically be at 10 instead of 11 pins. There are two games which require a bit of shuffling to slide the glass out in order to work on the games but thank god for these EZglide nylon leg levelers from Marco which make it very easy.

04/17/2011 - Congo
08/13/2011 - Indianapolis 500
10/07/2011 - Red & Ted's Roadshow
03/10/2012 - Theatre of Magic
07/28/2012 - Tales of the Arabian Nights
07/26/2013 - Johnny Mnemonic #2
09/20/2013 - The Shadow #2
12/29/2013 - The Addams Family
06/17/2014 - Medieval Madness
09/26/2014 - Judge Dredd #2
11/21/2014 - Creature from the Black Lagoon

9 games right now with a 10th on order, and at that point I'm out of room. Then I need to either define more pinball space elsewhere in the house/basement, or start moving games out.

I think I have decided upon a constant mix of #1, #2 and #3.
I enjoy rotating pins, and my current cycle is #3 for a few more weeks.
It is currently time to make a bit of room for the folded pins deserving legs asap.

I'm at 2 with 20 (and one on order), but not maxed out by any means. I'm not interested in increasing my collection further, but that isn't to say I won't buy something if it peaks my interest.

I'm at a mix of 1 and 2 depends on how the house layout goes once the renos are done. Currently sitting at 10 pins all currently in heated storage for a few more months.

I'm maxed out right now. Garage has games, rec room has games, dining room has games, kitchen has games. Just talked to the bank last week about buying a new house so hopefully I find something a little more suited to the hobby. Then I will be back at #1.

I'm at 1 and moving slowly. My strategy is to see which games Mike keeps or brings back multiple times, and then go for those :)

You are doing well so far with Demolition Man and Judge Dredd ;) I've owned World Cup Soccer '94 before and to be honest wouldn't mind having one back if I had the space because people who came over really enjoyed playing it.

Same here, most people gravitate to that one.

It's because the goaling scoop is huge and easy to hit so player gets instant gratification. But most importantly hearing the game yell "GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!" never gets old for them.

I like this strategy too!

I'm definitely at 1. My thoughts are changing on pins collecting. My initial thought was to collect all the nostalgic pins that I grew up with, but, I'm finding that the modern pins are a lot more fun. I'm going to be more open minded, play more pins and collect pins that I really enjoy playing!

That's not to say I won't be buying any nostalgic pins!
