Two tickets to the most sought after event in Pinball will be up for grabs on June 15!

Pinball for Change will be running a tournament on June 15 at Press Start Arcade in Keswick Ontario. Two participants will be randomly drawn to receive a free entry into Pinburgh, which is only the greatest pinball experience ever in my opinion. You don’t need to win the tournament to win the Pinburgh tickets.

Entries are $40, which covers the $15 host and food fee, along with a $25 donation to we.org (once Pinburgh ticket purchase cost is covered all other funds will be donated)

Doors open at 11, tournament starts at noon. Format will be group matchplay, with each group playing 3 games before we regroup. We will break into 2 divisions after 2 rounds. After 4 rounds the top half (4-8-12-16) players in each division will play a PAPA style 3 game matchup.

Pinball for Change has been raising funds since 2015, and to date has raised over $22,000 and funded the construction of two classrooms in rural Ecuador. Help us work towards building a 3rd!

I have heard there are 4 Pinburg locations (some serve alcohol, some are family friendly) in Pittsburg.

Pinburgh is actually the worlds largest Matchplay tournament. It takes place August 1-4 as part of Replay/FX, which is the worlds largest gaming show. They take over the entire floor of the downtown convention centre, and it’s like Christmas for people who love pins, vids, consoles and board games.

This will be my 5th year in a row attending, and I love it more than I can describe.

There will be 1000 players in Pinburgh this year, and there is currently a waiting list over 500 deep. This is about the only way to get in, and if you like pinball even a little bit you owe it to yourself to try to go to this show.

OK, I've sent the information email to everyone that I believe is attending. If you didn't get it, please let me know!

Expecting a very solid 36 players at this point. Also a slight format change - to speed up the playoffs, we'll be doing a single elimination best 2/3 bracket rather than PAPA style playoffs. That should get us to the Flipper Frenzy side tournament even faster. Going to be quite a day.

I can still take more players if anyone is interested!
