Price Check on LOTR **No matter - BOUGHT***

I was wondering if anyone had the current value for a LOTR (non LE)?
Mr. Pinball - ???
Boston Pinball - ???
The machine I am looking at is HUO and in fantastic condition.

I think at this moment if you can find one locally HUO $4500-5000? There was a HUO near you in Detroit asking $5000 and was suppose to be HUO.

I have seen a lot of lotr for sale and very rarely saw a non le go for $6000. Usually $4500-5000. Weird, Mr Pinball prices usually tend to be lower than market value, this is the first time I have seen it higher than market value.

I have yet to see or buy a pin at guide price since I got into this hobby over 2 years ago. I have come close on a few pins but that was only because it was from a very good friend who got a good deal on a game years ago and just passing the savings forward to me. At this point right now given the demand for a LOTR I don't think anyone would discriminate between a non LE 2003 or 2010 run and doubt you would be able to justify that big of a price difference from $4650 --> $6000.

The Mr. Pin guide prices are based off of averages.. the 2003 model is likely skewed because there were more LOTR's on route then vs. 2010 (so most of the 2010 pins are HUO).

Either way, I haven't followed the Mr. Pin prices in years.. I've learned that prices are more affected by demographics than anything else.

I tried for that HUO in Detroit....seller said it was sold...then said that the buyer never showed up....?
I got back in touch with him, asked some questions and I think maybe scared him? He never got back to me. Too bad, this is the 2nd one that has slipped through my fingers!

Got a HUO one about 3 months ago and it ran me $5000.
I like the Gandalf on horseback vs the "surfing" Gandalf... but these toys are easy to find and replace if you wanted to.

Was offered $5,500 for my HUO just last week and I turned it down.

What kind of condition was yours in?

I found one in Michigan that seems ok but has a lot of flipper button wear....
I think I can get it for 4500 (+ the border).....ADVICE???

Most routed LOTR have some flipper button wear. One option is to replace the siderails with the ones that have the button protectors and just cover it up if you don't feel like actually trying to repair the cabinet.

4500 sounds high for a game you have to get across the border, but if you think the game is worth it, then go for it.

$4750 is a good price for sure.. but +13%, and your price isn't really worth it anymore.

4750 + 13% is $5367.50, so less than what Duane was offered for his HUO.

Still, at $5367.50 for an HUO LOTR, I turned it down.
