Up for sale/trade is my 1991 A.G. Soccerball pinball made by Alvin Gottlieb and Co.

Released in Oct '91, this solid state game is one of only 500 produced.

This is a head-to-head game that can also be played as a single player. This game has patented 'switch-flippers'. Each flipper has a wireform switch attached to it. During two player head-to-head games, the switches are used to award scoring to the player whose flipper last touched the ball. During single player games, the switches are active only on the opponent's flippers. When the ball strikes those flippers it causes them to energize and 'auto-flip' the ball...and you are playing against the machine. Two balls are in play at all times.

This game is in very clean condition and everything works 100%.

The cabinet is in very good condition. This game would have been equipped at one time with the optional plastic banner mounted on two aluminum poles that would have been secured to the side of the cabinet. It no longer has this, but you can see the holes in the side where it would have been installed. This missing feature does not in any way affect the game play. If you were inclined to possibly find or fabricate one, then the wire connectors are still fully intact to connect for the flashers that would be mounted on the banner.

The playfield is in amazing condition without any blemishes. It has a new set of plastics installed and they are flawless.

The game has been LED'd and looks really nice during game play. It has NVRAM installed so no worrying about any battery leakage. The legs were stripped, cleaned and given 3 coats of gloss 'yellow sunburst' tremclad paint to freshen them up.

Included are new black cabinet protectors, new green leg bolts, new leg levelers, new black feet protectors and the original manual.

Also, I will include the old set of plastics that were removed as well as one new panel of side art and two new panels of end art for the cabinet that are from their 1992 version called 'A.G. Football' released to the European market.

This is on the rare side and is certainly a unique and interesting game to add to your collection.

Asking $6500 OBO ...or possibly an interesting trade.

Thanks for reading and checking it out :)

It's missing the topper, this must be my old AG Soccer Ball, I had sold it to Francis from Saguenay many many years ago but I know he sold it many years ago as well, it's a fun game to own if you have other pins as well, while I had this one I also had USA Football from Alvin G. , Joust and Viza War.
it's fun to see with an old game you use to have how pinflation went from over 15 years ago, I paid 1000$ for it (picked up in Mineapolis USA) and, sold it 1500$ CAD.........
Good luck with the sale :)

I'm pretty sure there was one of these at the Church too at one point, or am I making that up? Fun game with two players. Kind of like Joust or Slugfest (Any pitch'n'bat), lots of fun in a party setting.

Hi everyone...it's definitely a very fun 2 player party game...great in a larger collection or when you're looking for something really different...

It's a little difficult to value these days with the crazy prices...I may have it listed a little high, considering the topper is missing, but it's a rare find...especially with the mint pf and plastics...there aren't too many left out there in this condition probably...a common issue being the flippers missing the wire forms and associated parts...it plays 100% and is kinda cool and unique...

Especially when the game kicks on in 'attract' mode and plays itself for 20 seconds...usually scares the crap out of any guests in the games room haha

I'll try and attach two videos...a short one showing attract mode

and another just showing the game turned on

I'm open to offers or discussing possible trades...thanks!

I had been looking for one of these just over a month ago. I was surprised to see your listing on Facebook a few weeks ago. They are really quite rare, especially in great condition. Unfortunately, I don't think I have the space anymore. (...and taking the condition into account, I think you are maybe still a little on the high side, price wise). Still VERY tempting though... :)

Yes I thought the same thing ,it is missing the header and brackets for it which I think would be really hard too find one for it :(
When I owned this game for about a year, I searched each and every day for 2 plastic marquees, I figured, if I have the 2 plastic marquees I can make the rest of the header myself.
I only found one marquee and never again found another but as said ,"it does'nt affect game play" it's only esthetic..

Actually it's not haha...its a great game without the header...the header has no impact on game play at all...it was an option at the time of purchasing the unit new in 1991 and not all of the 500 games had it...this one just happens to have the holes where the header was once installed...

Some of the original headers had electrical issues and were removed by operators after reports of fires in a few of them when they were new...and others were removed when purchased for home use because the header on this game is actually rather tall and didn't fit in many basement game rooms...

I've reduced the price to $6200 OBO...or possibly a trade deal where I can add some cash :)

Thanks everyone! :)
