Purchasing a game from Europe

I have a potential deal in the works for a game in the UK, but dealing with someone on another continent has me concerned. I've only ever imported two games from Europe, and Gerry took care of everything.

Any advice to protect myself before I take the deep dive?

I bought from Europe.
Checked the seller from other people that had bought from them. Was nervous until it came.
There's not much you can do except background check that way and then pray.
It would have to be a great deal or a special game.
