saving colour matched paint

When repainting a playfield it takes me a few attempts to get the correct colour match. Once done I would paint and then have to make more if I stopped and started again later.

I thought about storing it in small containers but the air inside the container would eventually cause the paint to dry out due to the amount of paint : air ratio

I wanted to keep the paint in a sealed container with no air.

Oral Syringes with caps! I suck up the unused paint from the pallet with the syringe and pop the cap on. Store the paint in the cash box.

I like this idea! I think I'll be giving this a try if I see he need to save paint.

Company called golden. Water based acrylics. Then a water based clear coat to seal it once I'm done

To colour match paint I've had good luck with using a clear piece of plastic like an overhead projector film. Paint your test colour onto the film. Let it dry, and place it directly on top of the artwork that you are trying match. Keep mixing colours until you have it just right.

This is a great idea to save the extra paint. Thanks for the useful tip
