Jist an observation i know all of you know, but im surprised its never been addresses. So I bought two stern pins recently. IM pro and FF Premium. For the amount of money people pay for a new or used stern those speakers. Wtf stern. That's pathetic, and even sadder is thinking the Kenwood in the le are much better. They are also pretty cheap speakers.
I open up my ultraman and I have an amp, decent speakers and a shaker installed.

I don't think it's news to anyone in the know at Stern that they're using cheap components, but the games are still selling, so why reduce their profit margin? Those that care will upgrade the speakers, and the vast majority won't. If it's someone's pet issue it might get addressed-apparently we got the actual PF support rails back in pros (instead of the pegs) because of Keith Elwin, so if someone really cared about speaker upgrades, then that might happen, although probably at the cost of something else in the BOM. Personally, I think speakers are easy enough to upgrade that I'd rather see the money spent on things like PF mechs than bling.

I get that the bottom line is a key factor in any business and as long as sales are strong why would you make a change. It is an easy upgrade and relatively inexpensive that's why I can't imagine why they wouldn't have done it themselves. Personally I don't think a quality speaker in a music pin is being. Kind of essential.
I guess as long as no one pushes back they won't care either.
Def an upgrade I'll be making to both FF and IM.
