Way behind on my updates:

We may have broken an attendance record last night (February 6th) with 55 players showing up for the 1st league night of the season. The machines held up great considering there were over 400 games played last night.

Congrats to Aaron who won with an impressive score of 92. Teolis took 2nd and Kris took 3rd. Well done.

Results are posted here. Create an account to access more info about scores and stats etc.

We had a turnout of 39 players last night. Some pretty fast and furious 80 games in the line up made for some pretty quick games. Some groups played all 6 games in only an hour. Maybe the fastest line up ever!

Despite being under the hood of several machines for what seemed like half the night all machines ultimately held up and no machines had to be wiped off the lineup. High scorers were:

Paul D Attack From Mars
Aaron A Trident
Ken Lapointe Airborne
Tony Laviolette Eight Ball Deluxe LE
Marc Tourand Flight 2000
Mark Incitti Avatar

Thanks to everyone who helped out to make another successful LOPL league night happen!

Scores are posted at link below:

We had a great turnout of 52 players last night for league, most of which opted to play in the charity event. We raised $100 for Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation and Aaron who got the highest score on the charity game (Over 400 mill on Twilight Zone) donated his portion of the winnings for a total of $150 raised. Good job LOPL!

Top 4 in the charity were

1. Aaron Attrill $50
2. Mike Dymus $25
3. Steve Versteegen $15
4. Greg Benz $10

Unfortunately the scores from Dracula had to be dropped. The execs discussed the issues throughout the day, and using IFPA rules, determined the issues to be classified as a "major malfunction". See http://www.ifpapinball.com/ for the full rules. Sorry that is just pinball. It is not the first and wont be the last time that happens.

This means that Steve V is the big winner for the night. Congrats Steve.

It's been a long month since last league night, and we had 41 players for league Saturday. We got to play some games that we don't get to play that often. Scared Stiff and Baywatch made their LOPL debut. Despite very low wall voltage we got through the night with only a few minor issues!

Top 4 for the evening are below:
1. Mike D
2. Mark I
3. Julie
4. Joe S / Steve V

Full results and scores are below:

http://www.incitti.com/pinball/lopl/scores.php?action=viewStanding&season=4&date=2016-05-28

We had 34 players play in the charity event so that means $85 was raised for the Children's Health Foundation. The results and payouts are as follows:
1st Brandy $42
2nd Taz $20
3rd Mark I $13
4th Jeff Knight $10

Full results are below:

Update: Mark donated his winnings so that is a total of $98 for the cause :)

The last league night of the season had 43 players show up to the Langs residence in Strathvegas! Paul and David actually tied for 1st place. I think that is both their best finishes ever. Congrats guys.

Full results for the night can be seen here:

We also had 33 players in the charity side turny (plus a $10 donation from Jeff T and $5 from the LOPL prize pool to make an even number) means that we raised $92.50 for the Strathroy Hospital Breast Assessment Program.

Top four in the charity event got some cool cash. They were:

1. Paul Dewar $40
2. David McCord $20
3. Mike Dymus $13
4. Joe Lem $10

Speaking of ties....Aaron and Mike D ended tied for overall regular season points but Aaron's best 5 were just slightly better so he hung onto the lead with an 83.4 average compared to Mikes 82.2 so the overall winner of the regular season was Aaron. Congrats!

Using your best 5 nights out of a possible 7 we have the top 24 players moving onto the playoffs Saturday June 25th at Aaron's place at 2pm. Pizza will be provided courtesy of LOPL. The top 24 players are:

The top 24 players from the regular season geared up to battle at Aaron's place to become the LOPL playoff champion of 2016. There were 8 rounds of pinball followed by tiebreaks and then A and B finals.

After the rounds were finished Jeff T, Ray (yes I said Ray), Joe S and Aaron were top 4 and played a three game set to determine the victor. The games were Spider-man, Fish Tales and Twilight Zone.

Just prior to the A finals, Jeff went into the cold room to grab a pop and as the door closed on his way out the sword on the wall fell off and the tip landed on Jeff's forearm stabbing him. He ultimately required stitches but bandaged up his arm and proceeded to the A finals where he ended up winning despite Aaron's attempts to boobie trap his house so that he himself could win.FB_IMG_1467078371435.jpg

So The final 4 were:
1. Jeff T
2. Ray (yes this is not a mistake)
3. Joe S
4. Aaron

Players 5 through 8 played Night Moves, No Fear and Indiana Jones to determine the B finals standings which ended up as follows:

5. Mike D
6. Shaun R
7. Jeff B
8. Steve V

Thanks to LOPL for the pizza. Thanks Maria for helping run the event. Thanks Darrell for making the most awesomest trophies ever. (see pics). Thanks Aaron for hosting. Thanks to the execs for EVERYTHING. (too much to post everything). And thanks again to everyone for a great finish to the season.

Next season will start in September so stay tuned. We may also have a big turny mid season and will post details when/if that happens. We will also do a shirt order soon.

Full playoff results are below:

1 Jeff Teolis
2 Raymond Boyle
3 Joe Stanczak
4 Aaron Attrill
5 Mike Dymus
6 Shaun Russell
7 Jeff Beaudoin
8 Steve Versteegen
9 Julie Dorssers
10 Greg Rinehart
11 Kris Asick
12 Ken Lapointe
13 Mark Incitti
14 Lonnie Chicago

A big thanks to Steve and Leanne for opening up their home to 42 random pinheads! You guys did a great job hosting and everyone appreciates it! This is what keeps the LOPL alive!

First thing I'd like to mention is legibility. Can everyone please take the time to write down their scores. Poor mark has to manually enter in an average of 250 scores each league so it will make his job much easier. If scores are not legible then he will just have to venture a guess at your score.

Secondly, Road Show developed a malfunction just before the 2nd shift started so unfortunately all the Road Show scores from the 1st shift were wiped out. So we are only counting the 5 other games that were played. Sorry all, it is pinball and it happens. It is not the 1st time and wont be the last time.

Below are the top 10 from last nights event.

1 Aaron Attrill (AEA) 90.0000
2 Ken Lapointe (KEN) 87.0000
3 Mike Dymus (ICK) 86.0000
4 Ian Harrower (IAN) 78.0000
5 Kris Asick (KSA) 77.0000
6 Joe Stanczak (JES) 77.0000
7 Don Ma (DON) 76.0000
8 Shaun Russell (SPY) 74.0000
9 Steve Versteegen (SFV) 70.0000
10 Paul Dewar (DEW) 69.0000

At the link below you can see the full results and the overall league standings.

Another great turnout of 44 players for last nights league at Benzies place! Thanks for opening up your home to a bunch of random pinheads!

The machines held up well overall with the exception of Addams Family having to undergo surgery mid game in the 2nd shift. I guess the ball went into the scoop and ended up inside the cabinet. Oops. All was fixed up. The kickout was stronger after the repair but hey what can you do!

Top scores for the night were as follows:

BW: 2,674,542,900 Aaron
CV: 97,329,610 Shaun
GBLE: 251,485,770 Mike
SST: 161,945,780 Ken
TFTC: 253,921,310 Shaun

Top 10 for the night were:

1 Jeff Teolis (RED) 89.0000
2 Joe Stanczak (JES) 83.0000
3 Shaun Russell (SPY) 82.0000
4 Ken Lapointe (KEN) 82.0000
5 Aaron Attrill (AEA) 80.0000
6 Ian Harrower (IAN) 80.0000
7 Steve Versteegen (SFV) 76.0000
8 Mike Dymus (ICK) 73.0000
9 Jeff Beaudoin (J B) 69.0000
