Shipping within Canada

This may belong in the shipping forum, but it is a general question. I'm curious to know the costs for shipping a machine from different locations in Canada to Toronto, everything from Vancouver or St. Johns, and Ottawa, Montreal, or Quebec City. Also, is there a preferred company to use, and the cost difference between depot to depot, and door to door.
This is not for anything specific at this time, I would just like to know roughly the additional cost if I'm interested in a machine farther away than same day round trip pickup.

Twice now I've shipped pins from Calgary. Once was to my home in Wasaga, the other time was their hub in Brampton. Cost wasn't too bad, around 300.00 if I recall correctly. I used Sameday.

i've used sameday as well , toronto to vancouver was about $320 , from edmonton to toronto $300 , from toronto to calgary $260 , it is always cheaper depot to depot , or dock to dock . home pick up is usually double

Best to find someone with a company account with any freight carrier...

You'll get better rates generally

Sameday no longer ships "personal" items. Strictly business to business now.
I just picked up an arcade machine, delivered from Calgary to Woodstock using Sameday (Ottoway depot). Cost was just over $240, shipped last Thursday, arrived in their depot yesterday.

Previously I had a pin shipped from Calgary to Woodstock, that time with Day & Ross, shipped on a Friday, arrived the following Wednesday, cost around $140 (go figure).

Both were shipped depot to depot.

All I can tell ya is that I called them this morning to ship a pin from Calgary to Toronto. Person I spoke with was that back in the fall they no longer took orders to ship "personal" items.

Having said this, I then called Manitoulin and they quoted me $158.00 Depot to Depot (Calgary to Barrie).

Keep in mind Alberta to Ontario is often cheaper than Ontario to Alberta.

Has to do with less than full loads, and spot finding

Looking to ship a game from BC to Toronto. Any suggestions on who to use? Anyone have a Sameday corporate account and like to help me out

I've always found Day and Ross to be fine. The rates are great. The ordering process is a bit of a mess, but it's always shipped relatively fast and cheap. They will pick up at a residence, but it doubles or triples the price, so better off going Depot to Depot with it.
