Silicone Rings instead of rubber

I know Brock LOVES Iron Man so maybe that is the one he has had the longest?

Brock sold his Iron Man earlier this year otherwise I know he has had it since December 2011.

I haven't used Titan rubbers before on any of my games but I know my friend bigbossfan put Titan coloured rubbers on his creech that he tore down to clear coat earlier this year. While the playfield was still sitting on the rotisserie he had some Titan coloured rubbers installed and they snapped less then a few weeks later. Giving bigbossfan the benefit of the doubt that he installed the proper sized rubber rings on his game it is a bit concerning since the game wasn't even being played. Also bad too if you are installing these rubbers in hard to reach areas once the game is put back together. I think spiroagnew had a similar experience when he installed some Titan rubbers on his EATPM and they too prematurely broke in a very short period of time. I'm hoping both of these guys can confirm it was regular coloured rubbers they had installed and not the competition ones.

100% correct Mike. I put their REGULAR coloured rubbers on the creetch. Within a week I noticed that they were starting to crack, and within another week or so after that had a few actually break. Having said this, I have since replaced with the silicone competition rubbers, and no issues with them. Keeping in mind, this is probably the longest pin restore known to man as it's been sitting on my rotisserie for about 8 months now with little progress!!

Not even close... Monkeybug I think takes the the prize in that department. His ES PF swap/restore I believe took well over two years to complete, and it would have taken longer had I not pushed him.

Yeah, it was regular orange Titan colour rubbers, but on my Demo Man. Three snapped after only a week of light play. Not impressed. Have yet to try their silicone competition rings...thus, I can't pass judgement on them, nor partake in manly posturing arguing about them. [emoji1]

I still have not needed to replace a single rubber aside from the flipper rubber.

I only just shopped my AFM out after lending it to the CPC and that rubber was over 10 years old. YMMV.

However, those were HAPP rubber, not the PL or whatever PBR sells.

Yeah the regular Titan rubbers really suck just like super bands. You have to buy the COMPETITION rubbers.

Bought some flipper bands from Titan and they are great.

However, I tried competition rubber rings on my slingshots on a couple of my games and they started to fall apart after very few plays. Around the bottom post on the slingshots the bands were chewed up. This is on a HUO game with brand new super shiny balls, ugh.

Flipper bands only for me. Sad, as I really like the aesthetics and low maintenance of Titan bands.

Same thing happened to me with Xmen and regular white rubbers. Got seriously chewed up with new balls in no time. If you go to pinside you will see the people with good experiences with Titan competition rubber FAR outweigh the people with bad experiences.

..I feel they're too grabby and not enough bouncy. I was worried the Titans would be the same.... I like the sound of glow in the dark.

I find the glow in the dark too distracting and causes laughter. My wife does like the ribbed kind though.
