My first pin was SM. I love the new art on vault. I have no idea how this pin isnt in the top 10, like somewhere between 4 and 7...

Agreed. Excellent game. I love the art work and overall look of it.
Every one of my guests can pick up and play this game. It's easy to understand objectives and doesn't drain too easily so they can enjoy.
I have my eye on a few different pins...So, good chance I end up keeping SM if those don't come up.

So what is the value difference for a VE model?
I would assume a flood of newer re-releases kills the value of all the non limited models.
Maybe even the LEs if the vault shared some of their limited features.

Call outs, sounds, and characters are very different, being based off the comic book, and not the movie.
Game play has some improvements...like a motorized DocOck, upgraded magnet, cliffy's, etc.
I've been told it's better built, but I never owned the original. Comes with a shaker and LED's standard.
However, I think it boils down to whether you like the theme and cosmetics really,and want to pay a premium for that.
It's priced like a premium in the $9500 plus tax range. Original was thousands less, but times have changed since 2008.

Newer game, better art all around, callouts are different (like art it would be preference which is better)
Motorized doc ock changes the gameplay quite a bit, and the sound and dots are much better on the vault imho. Beyond the cab and translite art, they also did game specific side rails for the VE. Like Libtech said, some differences are cosmetic and subjective, but unlike SM to SM Black which are cosmetic only, there are more differences between SM and SMVE.

I know the one time I played a VE I didn't like the callouts as much, since it was missing the original JJJ voice clips (which would have been apt, since JK Simmons also did the voice on the cartoon). Otherwise I like most of the art on the VE, and the dots look cleaner, but it's a great game either way.

yes the black is the best limited edition 500 only and the glass is mirror very nice and all the leg and side rail are chrome and come whit saker .and after is depend if you like the comics one or the original like the vault but spider man look very skinny on the vault long time he not eat

The Doc Ock is motorized on the original Spiderman, it works the exact same way on original SM and the VE.
Other than the art, the bigger magnet core and lack of a moving Green Goblin on the VE, the game is exactly the same.

Like rjw said, doc Ock is motorized on the original sm and bsm.
VE loses mechanical goblin on left, gets larger protected magnet in front of doc Ock.
It really comes down to art and sound. I like the sound package on the original with jjj insults and the original theme and lighting cues.

I was under the impression the code for Doc changed on the VE to remove an exploit on the original?

They are the worst, in direct competition with Xmen for most terrible call outs I've ever heard. Good Luck with the sale
