I'm quite a noob to pinball and still find it hard to know what to shoot for sometimes. So having a game that changes colour and plainly shows where to shoot is right to my ally. I loved that about ST and WoZ the first time I played them, so many colours. The artwork suffers from the large inserts. I'd prefer the art to cover the inserts more throughout.

I think the only improvement TSPP needs is full colour changing lights to define modes better, and I love that about GoT, so many pretty colours.

I had time today to play the pro game at the Playdium store.

Wow.

My friend Nate said " that's easily the most fun game on the showroom floor".

I'm not a very skilled player, but my level of skill doesn't dictate my level of enjoyment. This game left that "one more game" feeling with me. The code has been updated and I played through most of the houses, but it does default to the stark mode if you don't hold the action button for 3sec before starting a game. I wasn't able to complete more than two houses in any one game, so I didn't get to any mini wizard modes. The blackwater multiball is fairly easy to get, it seemed almost to easy.

One thing I noticed is that the sword of multiball seems to be two separate mechs. One for the sword and one for the post. So if you didn't have lock lit the ball would just run straight down the right side. Originally I though the sword and post were connected as one unit.

The kickback is comparable to f14 tomcat. It's fast and shoots directly at the right flipper.

All and all its a great game. I'd be happy with a pro, it didn't seem stripped down. I'm still betting that the upper Playfield will be worth every penny and I'm hoping to have my premium game for my birthday in the middle of December.

I did get my initials up. Although I'm a LONG way from a billion point game.

I spent a good amount of time with Game of Thrones this weekend.

Pretty much figured out most of the game, don't have the specifics yet on how each of the houses work exactly but I did make it all the way to both Wizards modes (Hand of the King and Iron throne) and put up a 2.7 Billion score so I feel like I've got enough to form an opinion.

The game reminds of Star Trek on Steroids and by that I mean the scoring is much more exaggerated. It's allot of "shoot X shot X times" and keeping combos alive to keep shot X's up on the individual shots.

There wasn't anything that grabbed me as innovative or different, the dragon toy was kinda cool in how to simulated the flying during the Targaryen mode.

But the wizard modes with nothing special either.

I don't see how the addition of the mini PF is going to help this game much, but I guess time will tell on that.

The one interesting thing in the modes is you actually have to collect the value built up in the mode. So on most of the modes you make a few shots first to set a value and then have to make another shot to actually collect that value. If you don't collect it before time expires, you don't get anything and have to start over.

Overall I'd say the game is OK. I didn't dislike playing it but in it's current state with current code I'd don't think I'd bother owning one.

played it on Wednesday a couple times, din't really get the rules, just how to get the blackwater multiball.... I found the playflied to be "choppy" with hard to hit shots. Din't get any flow going on it. The ram is annoying as well. Hard to judge overall till I play it more, but was't really felling it.
OH I forgot to mention it has a video mode!!! bravo stern bravo! I've been waiting for them to bring video mode back.

Adam How did you get 2.7 billion!?!?!?!! I think my highest score was 100+ million lol. Dam I wish I lived closer to T.O. so I could get ready for launch party....

Does anyone know how far along the LE production is? I'd assume that the first batch is heading over seas, but I haven't heard of anyone receiving an LE game yet.

Stern had the game manual on their site for the Pro game shortly after building them, but I haven't seen the LE manual posted yet. Again I'd assume that the manual should be ready as games are being delivered to customers.

Did anyone in Canada order an LE or get a shipping date for their game?

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Ah man! that's a good one!

LOLOLOL

Yea such a rarity for Stern to release a game with incomplete code! AHAHAHAHHA

I keep forgetting these things. My mind still works in NES Cartrage game mode. The whole shipping incomplete items is mind baffling to me.

Damn and now I'll get to experience it first hand. :deluxe picard:

I don't remember if I or anyone else posted the GOT feature matrix from Stern but here it is for those who haven't seen it.
