I'm sure everyone who has a Premium or LE on pre-order is anxious to see the hammer in action :D

I finally played the pro at SB yesterday.
They had the sound turned down so as no to annoy the salespeople... so that spoiled things a bit.

Overall the game has some nice shots. It's a feel-good pin as most of the shots are pretty easy to hit consistently.
The layout is not exactly inspired. I think they played it pretty safe here, and the obligatory bash toy up the middle has been done to death, but I kind like this one. At least it didn't come from Toys-R-Us ;)

I wasn't able to get really far into it. Just played about a half dozen games.
I'd say that if I was a metallica fan I would probably buy it.

Did the ball come dribbling back down when you hit it up the left orbit much? I know in movingpicture's video it does it a few times, just curious. I am going to try and make my way to SB soon and give it a try myself. I am not a Metallica fan myself but glad my friend Elliot down the road is who is stoked to be getting his soon once a few things get sorted out.

I gave it a whirl last night.. fun game, decent flow. Typical fan layout, it really does play a lot like Iron Man (which ain't a bad thing). I wasn't too sad about the sound being turned down, I'm not a Metallica fan in the least. Voice calls were good, dots seemed kinda meh (for now). Love the "FUEL" feature. It's a pretty solid hit. I can't see the Premium / LE being worth the extra coin at this point.

YES!
I could'nt figure out what was wrong because every time I'd hit the left orbit, It would not go around. Very frustrating.
There must a feature that controls a one-way-gate or something. It felt like a rejection every time I made that shot.
I'm sure there is a lot to learn on this pin... but you'd think something as basic as an orbit would feel more intuitive.

It does do a WPC-95 style skill shot that allows the plunge to go all the way around if you hold the left button and then you can line up a super-skill shot. So I know a full orbit is possible.

Maybe they are doing what SkitB introduced in Predator. If you hold the flipper button down when you make the shot, the gate is open. If you just press it quickly and let go, it stays up???
I didn't even think to try that. Give it a shot and report back.

It's not a gate, it's a post. And yep, it stays up so you can make the regular lane skillshot (same as IM)

One thing I'll say is I'm sooooooo effin' tired of the plunger shot feeding into the pop bumpers. This is a Gary Stern rule.. :FP:

Hold the left flipper button when plunging the ball. Problem solved.
