I watched a couple of play videos on this game and saw that the inserts have a tendency to cup. Does this sort of thing warrant removing the inserts and flattening them? I've seen people do this and just wondering if it's worth the effort, there are a lot of them.

I can't tell from the pictures if that is the case on this machine so I am just wondering.

If it has insert cupping you could install a playfield protector. I put one on my firepower and it plays great now. A lot easier than replacing or leveling inserts.

Thanks, Ive seen the playfield protectors and was wondering whether they would be an alternative. I guess it come down to a cost vs time thing.

Just to chime in about insert cupping. I have a nice players condition Meteor, and all of the rocket inserts show some cupping... who cares?! The inserts are SO small that they barely affect ball travel. I wouldn’t worry about it. It will affect game value, but not game play! Great early Stern. One of my favs. GLWS

For those who love the game, CPR has a BG available and I I believe that a PF is in the works. Again, if this is a keeper for someone.
