Stern Pinball Is Now Offering its Mustang Pro Game, Mustang Boss
Premium Game And the 50-Years-of-Mustang Limited Edition Game

MELROSE PARK, IL - March 5, 2014 - Stern Pinball, Inc., the world's
oldest and largest producer of arcade-quality pinball games, proudly
announced today the availability of three Mustang pinball games. The
feature-rich Boss Premium and 50-Years-of-Mustang Limited Edition
machines will join Stern's Pro model, which was recently greeted by
rave reviews at the Chicago Auto Show. Handcrafted by Chicago's own
Stern Pinball, the Mustang-inspired games combine two icons of
American pop culture - pinball and Mustang.

Stern Pinball's Pro model, designed for arcades and other public
spaces, features Mustangs from the past five decades. The Boss
Premium model focuses on an array of Boss Mustang models while the
50-Years-of-Mustang Limited Edition machine is signed by the game
designer and contains exclusive commemorative game features and art
from the1965 original through the all-new 2015 Mustang GT. Each game
includes real Mustang sounds and a Sony Music soundtrack of eight
generational cruising tunes to give players the visceral experience of
driving a Mustang. The Boss Premium and 50-Years-of-Mustang Limited
Edition models feature genuine Ford Mustang chrome pony emblems on the
speaker display panels, unique art packages, additional drop targets,
an interactive turntable feature, a stainless steel crossing ramp and
eight color-changing LED shot arrows to lead players on a unique
racing experience.

The games incorporate a mix of classic pinball features and
cutting-edge technology to let players race with some of the greatest
Mustangs of all time and build a dream collection as they progress
through the game. The playfield invites players to go drag racing,
rallying, drifting and road racing as they string a series of shots
together in pursuit of a high score.

Different playfield artwork on the pro vs. premiums though. I think that's a first for them

After the rollercoaster of Star Trek, I'm not going to judge any game by their pics. So I look forward to playing it when it shows up at Playdium.

I am surprised though, after STLE set a new Stern light show standard, that this game is a step backwards. Technology-wise, it just doesn't seem that impressive. Could be fun as hell still, but it doesn't have that wow.

Wow, I hate to bash a game... but that gameplay vid looked terrible
I have to assume that there were a lot of non working features on that machine because there were zero ramp shots in the entire 5 min video! The ramp flaps never came down.
Also, every shot to an orbit simply spilled the ball into the pops or spilled back out where it came from. No real flow of any kind; which is super odd for such a wide open playfield. It was like watching a tennis match as the ball went up the field and just came back down.
Anyway, I'm sure it'll improve, but I can't help feeling like Stern has really set up Trudeau for a fall here.
Even the art looks like it's straight out of the WPT/WoF days. Not very nice IMO.

Like Drano, I try not to bash a game 'till I've played it but so far this game looks and sounds very uninspired.
