I've thought long and hard about this, and I can't think of a bigger waste of time, money and space than the "laser starfield" on this thing. It's literally a dollar-store laser pointer being shot through a tiny, rotating prism.. and it looks ridiculous. How many starfields do you know of that are in rows and columns, and are RED? :FP:

I still like the LE / Premium models (I think the lit emblem on the LE heads is awesome) but if I were to get an LE the first thing I'd do is disable this feature.

When I first heard about the feature I had ideas of the laser projecting actual images onto the playfield (planets, ships, words), or perhaps more useful, projecting arrows or indicators of where you should be shooting (a la lit inserts). I read a bit too much into it I guess...we ended up with little pink dots. Something tells me this isn't what Mr. Ritchie envisioned.

Not sure how many of you guys have had a chance to see the laser in action. While it sure isn't the million dollar toy that is to blame for the price increase, it's pretty cool.
Not a big deal for the Pro users who don't have it, but it's better in person and actually pretty neat.
Still, this was kept secret for far too long and people got their hopes up as far as what to expect. It's a neat perk more than a must-have feature in my opinion.

This game has a ton of flow so it's fun like ACDC. Hoping they improve the code a little but I'm really impressed for what you get on day 1. (This is the way pins should be released. Not that hald-coded Metallica stuff that happened in the past. Or Xmen for that matter.)
I wouldn't be surprised if you buy a Premium before I'm ready to sell.

Wonder how many LEs are left/available for purchase?
