My buddy Elliot stopped by late last night around 11:30pm to give my recently acquired Shadow a test drive. As you can see it is setup literally in the middle of my game room cause I am outta space but not for long as my STTNG will be leaving soon to go to a new home :(

Since STTNG is leaving soon Elliot thought he would play it before it is gone next time he is over and also see how it compares to the new Stern Star Trek Pro he played at SB over the weekend.

Bastard left his "taint" on another one of my games and guess it is so easy for him to do so since he lives 5 mins down the road and my game room door is open to him pretty much anytime as we both played till past 1am last night. Sure this will change soon once I have Vengeance aka Adam over one of these days.

I'd LOVE to see a matchup between Elliot and Adam.. Elliot's an amazing player. Probably the best I've seen. It's a shame he's not NEARLY as competitive as Adam though and refuses to join any leagues :D

I've been having a couple of pretty good days playing pins.
After a week or so of trying to repair and get all my games running okay, I decided to do nothing but play this week.

Already got a new GC on XM LE and MM (after having my old MM scores cleared :( ) and a personal best on TRON. In fact I got up to over 117mil on XM last night and played almost every mode in the game. I was pretty stoked! It really is a much better pin than people give it credit for... at least now that the code is mostly done.

I even managed to play a few games on Special Force and Grand Lizard... posting well over 1 million on each. And SF can be brutal!
Not exactly record breaking scores... but I guess the games were rewarding me for some much needed attention the week before.

Move over Elliot!
The new home for STTNG in in Ancaster and it only took me 10 games to bury that GC score!
WOOHOO!! :D
Thanks Mike! :D

FYI, my high on ST:TNG when I had it was a little over 10billion, possibly 12 billion or so and I'd assume it was setup harder then Wong would have his setup

You would have had a marathon game for sure as mine has the cheater lane extenders too! In my defense they were previously installed by Brock :p

Rigged up some blacklights for my tales from the crypt. They couldn't be mounted on the side because there wouldn't be enough clearance for the playfield to open.

Went to Lowes and got some trim, painted it black. Glued the led strips inside it. Used pcb mounting legs to attach them to the playfield where existing plastics and rails already attach so I didn't have to make holes in the cabinet at all.

For now I just have it wired into a wall wart in the service plug because I was pressed for time but I would like to wire it in with the game at some point.

Thanks for posting Brad and your UV mod looks great but I would be really careful having UV light on full time. It could fade your playfield or turn colors like red into pink or white. Brock had bought a Demoman before and I think the previous owner had black lighting in his gameroom or basement and the outlines around his inserts turned to a florescent pink

Hmm that's not good. I read quite a bit on pinside about it and all the conclusions there were that it wasn't damaging due to the frequency of the uv. I have a small strip left over maybe I'll leave it on a surface (other than the pinball machine) full time for a few weeks and see what happens.

My game is only on for short periods at a time so for now I won't be too concerned but I should be able to come to a conclusion after a few weeks testing something else.

I took these off my Demoman and gave them to Scott late last night before him and Drano left for Expo this morning.

They are going to be swapped with freshly replated ones by Mike Chestnut and can't wait!

Have a great time at Expo, boys! We expect an essay and lots of photos when you get back!

The boys arrived not too late last night to their hotel and got a quick glimpse of some pins being setup and played a bit too. Today they went on the Stern Factory Tour and got a picture with George Gomez (Scott on left and Drano on right).

They have also been getting their drink on here at The Ram too :)

Seeing George was cool... but watching Steve Ritchie barrel down the assembly floor and almost knock over Scott (who had his nose buried in his Blackberry) was even better :D

Other dignitaries we've come across on the show floor include Dennis Nordman, Brian Eddy and many other members of the community.
