Nice pickup on the FG.

Im quite jealous, as you have both FG and Tron in the same room now... Hmmm

Nice lineup of other machines you got there too.

Just realized I've been a little negligent in updating what I've been working on. Over the last week or so I've been busy with repair jobs all over the place. I've picked up a DE Simpson's and an Iron Man Classic for shop jobs (and other repairs), and worked on a Swords of Fury and an Eight Ball Champ (6803 games are damn heavy!). Currently repairing the sound board for the EBC, which has an issue with the speech working in test mode, but not in game play. Still have a few non-working lamps to sort out when I go back as well.

Did a very quick service call on a Lethal Weapon 3 that just ended up being a bad outhole switch and a few bulbs, possibly the fastest and easiest service call I've ever had.

Today I got to work on a DE Time Machine (I want one!) that needed a battery holder replaced (yay corrosion!) as the batteries had been in there since 1998. Adjusted some switches and replaced some bulbs and a blown GI fuse and it was nearly ready to go again. Still have to work on the displays, only one out of 4 displays is working corectly. I also worked on a F14 that needed a speaker panel replaced, a belt on the beacons replaced and has a non-working pop bumper that I traced back to either the pre-driver 7402 or the 6821 PIA. Brought the board home to diagnose on the bench since I didn't have either chip with me.

It must be the awesome Uncle Fester shooter rod I received from pinballcustoms.com, thanks again Brock!

Drano came by to pick up/drop off some parts and play as well

Meanwhile...

Scott and Walt loaded up WH20 + NBAFB and were on route from the Bluffs to Elliot's place

After we brought Demoman up from my basement we made our way over to Elliot's who was hosting a poker game.

Getting these loaner games into Elliot's office wasn't easy as we had to unhinge the head to make it fit through the door.

"Yeah don't worry about it Reg, we got it all under control here."

Drano going over the rules and objectives with Reg and Terry

Anyways, we never got around to playing poker as everyone was busy putting names to faces. Super Chexx and Pop A Shot were getting a lot of love and also got to enjoy watching the Jays game on the big screen too.

Also congrats to Reg for picking up a nice Ironman yesterday too. I'm sure his wife will think twice before leaving him alone for the weekend again :FP: :FP:

One day I will start putting faces to names. I know a couple people on here, but not many.

The other day I did bump into Frolic at the Playdium store.

Good thing his shirt had his name on it

The wife was working yesterday and took my youngest with her, so it was just Daddy and Aiden for the day. Ended up going to Wonderland just for the heck of it.. had a blast.

Elliot finally brought home NGG last night. It was a shame the rear leg plates were stripped and Elliot doesn't even own a friggin' socket set either :FP:

Anyways, we managed to get it setup and here is his buddy Rick who got a hole in one within the first 20 secs of playing his first game too!

I sold my boss a GTG 2005 years ago for his cottage. Sometime last year the game died and it looked like it was the HDD from the pics he sent me, so I dropped the CHD image on a couple of spare IDE drives we had laying around the server room for him to try out but to no avail. So last weekend I had him load up the game and drag it back to our office for me to work on.

Spent part of yesterday doing some research and it turns out the boot ROM in the game was an older version (1.06) which apparently doesn't like any drives larger than 20GB (the ones I had given him were 80GB). Today I managed to dig up a really old 6GB HDD from our spare parts stash and dropped the CHD image on that, which brought the game back to life! Huzzah!

I've also managed to obtain a copy of the latest boot ROM (2.09) which I will burn up and install once I find a 27C010 Eprom (I only have 2MB, 4MB & 8MB...) so if/when the HDD fails I can install any size HDD going forward.

Just an update for those following along, the 2.09 boot ROM actually requires a 27C801 Eprom (8MB).

I haven't posted any updates in a while.
been pretty tied up with finishing up a family room reno project that will, eventually, free up a portion of my gameroom that is currently being used to store couches and other nonsense.
So, with my eye on moving two more games into the basement, the race is on to finish!

Also finishing up a restore/cleanup on a Jacks Open... which will be my last 'outside' project for a while.
Just got the emtpy cab up on some sawhorses and getting ready to dive into that. The playfield is nearing completion.
Then I can focus on finishing up a few personal projects.

Spent father's day playing some soccer in the yard with the kids. That was awesome!

And... spent last night wrapping up XMLE for shipping off to its new owner in AB.
Another fun filled week :D

So much going on, so little time to post it.
Time to help Drano ship a pin tomorrow.
Bought "Spin Out" for a "noob" buddy.
Bought "Golden Arrow" for ah, me.

Busy, and all good.
Moving forward.

Cheers.

The weather cleared up after a 20 minute hard down pour last night. I called Keith and we quickly headed up to Shaun's house to pick up MM.

I will have to tone down some of the Cointaker LEDs, especially near the flipper area otherwise she looks and plays great.

I hope it will be a long term keeper as this title has always eluded me in the past and been on my wish list.
