What is your rational behind this assumption that spooky will release a slightly revised TNA 2.0 between 9-9.5k MSRP? Based on the price strategy of spooky it simply doesn’t make any sense…
I don't know this for a fact, but I do know someone that works in the industry, and this is who sort of put this idea in my head.
Then there are some other reasons that are just based on the direction that the hobby seems to be going:
1) Spooky mentioned many times that a Halloween/Ultraman would be under $10K. This is a threshold for Spooky, and one that they understand that they can currently graze, but not crack.
2) As a boutique company, doing a limited run, their costs will be significantly higher per game, and that premium will be passed onto the buyer.
3) Every other manufacturer has exponentially raised prices, and Spooky will not leave money on the table. They know they have a loyal fan base, so $8000 USD would be like giving games away for them.
4) Last but not least, we're all dummies. We'll buy games sight unseen, buy toppers for $1000, and accept games that are incomplete. We've made our bed, and Spooky knows that demand outweighs supply.
Just my two cents.
