Hey guys I got the oddest problem I cant seem to wrap my head around.
I had a display in my TOM that went bad, I did rebuild on board (in hopes it was the high power section) and I did not have to buy another plasma display. Worked out, after the rebuild it WAS the display that went bad.
So I decided to by a color dmd for it. I got it installed and updated it. It worked like a charm! I was very happy.
I played under 30 games on it since. Its been off for many months and I fired up the game (had company over) and noticed the display is working but *some* text is.... not in the right positions or overlapping other text... but most if not all the graphics are fine?!
I did a test of the display and it looks all good and shows it passes ok (but even that message is corrupt?!)
I messaged Randy Perlow at ColorDMD Displays, What a nice guy! even messages me back on a SUNDAY!
talk about great customer service!
The poor guys stumped as well, he cant explain it either.... I showed him a test video. I dont think its the DMD itself as the display works for the most part.. tho im no programmer and am not sure how the display interprets its info and renders it.
