If a routed unrestored CC goes for around $8k-$9k at this auction, once you add in the buyer’s premium and taxes, you're likely looking closer to $11k.
I would much rather wait for CGC to likely release this title; and pay a bit more to get a new example.

I honestly don't see the attraction to CC.

I sure do miss the old Starburst Auctions. Those were the best. Got my first pin there, Fish Tales for $1100.

Anyone here remember the earlier New Way Games auctions?
Bought and won my first pin; a nice Fire Power for $400, which at the time seemed like a big outlay.
Some lucky bidder got a NIB Fun House.

I see the buyers premium is 18% - whatever happened to the days when the seller paid an auction fee and the buyer paid the bid price - with tax that is 31% above your accepted bid

I bought my first FirePower for $400 as well. It was in decent shape.

Even worse.... If they tax the buyer's premium (or charge the buyer's premium on the taxed amount), you could be looking at a 33% premium to the winning bid.

Doesn't sound like you're winning anything when bidding on that CC at this point, other than earning the privilege of ordering a new pf from Marco (and, getting gouged there as well in the process!!)

If you go to Important Info > Terms & Conditions it says
"18% BP, 15% for Cash/ Certified Check, Bank Draft, or Wire Transfer."

You are required to supply your credit card for the $500 deposit and they also have this in all caps,
"IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER TO MAKE PAYMENT OR PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS WITH OUR OFFICE WITHIN 24 AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS. SHOULD YOU FAIL TO DO SO, YOUR FULL INVOICE AMOUNT PLUS 18% BUYERS PREMUM WILL BE CHARGED TO THE CREDIT CARD USED FOR REGISTRATION."

Just as an FYI.

I am all in on other pins at this time.
Good luck,
Remember to figure in the premiums,
Know your limit and stick to it.
