Value of a Data East Hook?

Hate to ask, but considering the state of the market I’m at a bit of a loss.

Non-pinhead friend selling a DE Hook, unrestored/average condition. Just looking for a range of what he should be asking/expecting to get.

Check out the current ads and archived ads and you should be able to get a pretty good ballpark for the price. Also remember those pinside ads are probably all going to be in the US so consider the current exchange rate and the fact that these kinds of things tend to cost more here than in the US due to availability.

I would ad that current ads mean little. You have to look at what has sold.

Thanks @Corrie. I played Jody’s at Pinfest and I can tell you that this one isn’t as nice as that. @MrMikeman makes a good point as well, selling price is probably more accurate than asking.

I only found 2 Canadian references- one here last Sept that looks like it was over $5k, and one on MAACA which was located in the US anyhow, and I don’t think those prices are reflective of the current market. I’m thinking maybe around $3k-$3500 for a relatively quick sale, or ask more if he’s patient.
