What is the rarest pinball you have played?

If you have been in this hobby for a while chances are you've come across a gem in the wild, at a show or private collection... What is the rarest pin you played? were you find/play it?

Cactus Canyon (900) Sherkston Shores location!

First I must state rare does not mean good or better in any sense.

Hercules at Cedar Point back in the teen years. Though the sit in mach 3 that moved emptied my wallet.

MPE had the Predator whitewood. Though I found the Bally Atlantis with the added post between the top and right thumper bumper was a great mod I never got around to adding to the one I had.

VFW has a large selection of rarities. Played the Dominos pizza machine there. Als Garage Band was my favourite of that day (put my initials up).

Dave A has a few 'custom' one offs that are neat. Plus a GNR.

And Godzilla... The one I would consider going after if I ever came into a bunch of $$$.

I played Hercules in the ‘80’s...I was young and small, all I remember was that it was huge.

I had an old em game (built in 1956) for a short while called fair lady. 550 were made. I doubt there’s many left.

I had a Bally beat the clock for a while (500 made)

I have a game of thrones Premium, probably only a couple hundred made. I doubt there’s more then a dozen or two in Canada and it doubt stern will make another run of them.

No, they switch up the line up every year, they haven't had any pinballs in past 2 years now. Previous years included:

I haven’t been collecting long so unfortunately not a lot of pinball machine experience.
However I do know of someone who just acquired a “Sea Hunt” a somewhat rare and unique EM.
I’m looking forward to hopefully playing it just to say I did!

I think a trip to Expo, VFW or the PHOF would put you in pretty good shape to try out just about any rare title out there.

I've been fortunate enough to acquire some unique and low production games since getting into this hobby.

Currently I've got a Williams Defender. Probably the most rare modern era pinball I have right now.
There's also my Heavy Metal Meltdown. Not the most rare title on its own... but mine is the only known (intact) prototype/sample HMM.
For super rare, I have a 1954 Williams Skyway. An early Harry Williams woodrail that actually had a 2nd left side shooter lane with auto kicker and a reverse loop ramp! Parts of the design were repurposed by Harry 3 decades later on Stern Freefall. It's impossible to know exactly how many there are, but I've only found evidence of 3 others.

ill combine the thread and what i own are the rarest that i have played save for protypes of Dave A's and rethemed ems ie , jetsons, minions and looney tunes.

currently i have a majorettes said to be 425 made, and not because of its rarity but its my favourite machine to nudge. As rare as that might seem to be , i have seen quite a few playing maybe 4-5 others and they always seem to come up often on pinside for sale .
Gottliebs mini pool had 500 made, i sold my target pool because i found it too easy , i ended up buying the minipool that was at the ottawa show last year and its probably the hardest game i own . i sought this out though not on a rarity rather i missed the target pool but i enjoy that 10 x more.
its hard to gauge how many were made of certain games in the williams genre , the 60 jungle has a range of 212-1291 shared with 4 other machines with that cabinet style . i assume williams made under 2000 cabinets and divided them amonst the 4 titles . if i was a guessing man , id say there were more jungles made as i have seen more of them than any of the others.
2 ten spots with production of 900 however it is my wish to convert one to the styling of the 60s cab as the protype came out in that but changed to a more conventional cab before production.
i consider firequeen rare at 900 too, i suppose that could be left to interpretation .

I wouldnt consider rare as a cause though to buy a machine for collectors standpoint , theres a reason why some had such low production numbers , bottom line it has to be fun , and luckily i consider the ones i have to be that.

i did find that bally fore with i think 80 made to be a bit of a dog.

i wonder too if my theory of shared williams cabinets couldnt be said the same for your army navy? 7 machines with a production of 218-1638?

i also recently had a 54 williams cue-tee which may be coming back to me (not sure) that shares production numbers of 188-874 with your skyway.

one of those was on sale today on kijiji, it didnt look in bad cosmetic condition asking 500 up from his original asking price of 385 when i first woke up

You hit that nail on the head, Drano! While at VFW this year, I played "FireFly". It's just a white wood, but the magnets were really well implemented. The game was very playable, and quite fun!

Big bang bar and Cactus Canyon are probably the rarest I've played. I own a prototype Getaway, sample Diner and a Banzai Run.
