Wow! That is a lot of rust. I think your assessment is right though with time and energy (and money) it could look great again. Backglass looks good m, I’m not familiar with the boards to know where to look for the obvious trouble spots but they didn’t look as bad as under the playfield. Does it boot and the displays are good? Curious to know what you paid for it.

My advice:
Take it to Shakeltons Auction and double or triple your initial investment.
I saw a very rusty Strange Science go for way over what it could ever be worth after restoring.

Hey Roar!
I haven't plugged it in yet. Had to take off the head to get in my basement and haven't put it back together yet. I bought this and one other machine sight unseen together so depends of how you divide up the money I spent but either way it was too much!

So what's the backstory on this, was this a barn find? What and how is the other machine?

I got a call from a guy who said he just removed a couple pins from a place he was working on I think. Said the pins were in his open trailer. I asked if he would deliver the pins for extra $ since they were already loaded up and ready to go. He was good with that. So I bought them both sight unseen. The other is Space Shuttle but it does not suffer the same fate. It has just the normal wear you would expect for the age. So maybe one was in the house and the other in the barn/shed? Not sure exactly!

Be careful with that mould if you decide to rip into it... when its airborne it can be pretty nasty stuff.
