Hi folks, Megan from Ottawa here. This Williams Triple Strike machine has been in my basement for a couple of years, and prior to that it was in the home of @Cait001 who did some work to get it functional again. It has been in the same family for decades, but the owner has decided it’s time to find it a new home.
Although it is functional, there is still work that needs to be done! However, included with the machine are three boxes of goodies. They contain a flipper rebuild kit, a replacement score reel, the original manual and schematics, instructions and score cards, and various little things like bulbs and fuses.
Even with the existing flippers, the game plays well enough, but there’s an occasional buzzing noise that should probably be addressed...
This machine would be a great project for someone looking to tinker with an EM.
As you can see from the attached photos, the playfield is in rather good condition for the most part. I’ve included close-ups of the areas that are damaged. Plastics are in great condition.
The cabinet is solid, but the paint is scuffed/scratched in a lot of places, especially the head. Probably the original paint job, though.
Asking $900 OBO. No trades at this time because I need the space in my basement and don’t want to be tempted.
If you're curious about the game's rules, check out the Williams Triple Strike entry in Bob Matthews' EM-cyclopedia. It talks about tournament strategy, but it should give you a good idea notwithstanding. The ten rollovers in the middle of the playfield (not to mention the four drop targets) give you lots of things to shoot at, if you want to practice your accuracy!
Located in Ottawa. Je parle aussi français, si vous le préférez.
Let me know if you want to see more photos or a video of gameplay or anything! Thanks for looking.
