Hi there. Just like the title says I'm looking for a Monster Bash playfield in Canada. If anyone has and wants to sell I'd be willing to pay a good dollar for one. Message me with details and pictures please if you have. Thanks,

Bay78 :D

Ron Kruzman posted a bunch of restored and clear coated playfields on July 2 on Mr. Pinball. Here is his email address if you want to get in touch and his work is top notch, good luck!

You can't do much better than a Kruzman!
Ron does beautiful work. You'll pay top dollar but he is one of the best.

I restore and clearcoat playfields and I still went out and bought two of his for a couple of my favorite games.

How bad is your current MB?
I don't remember Gerard's pics from the last batch.

WOW, thanks for the help guys. My MB playfield isn't terrible but definitely not good enough for me not to do a swap. Pictures can be seen on my pinballowners.com page. I actually found a playfield being sold by the same guy that is selling on pinside I think (from same place but different playfield). I didn't want to buy on ebay but this one looked really nice , had extra clear and only had minor imperfections that won't be seen when it is fully populated and a got a decent price on it. I have a Mirco one pre-ordered but it won't be ready until Expo time I hear and that one will cost $1000 by the time I get it and this one wasn't much more:

I'll have to remember that as this MB playfield I'm going to swap isn't terrible and would be a good restore project. And I've seen your work touching up the WH2O Mirco playfield and was VERY impressed! :D

A nice Kruzman will set you back anywhere from $1200-$1500 depending on the rarity of the playfield and the amount of work he's invested into it (number of coats)... but you will be getting the best of the best. His work and Chris Hutchins are in a class by themselves IMO.

As for restoring the other one. If you're getting a repro anyway, the best thing is usually to sell off the original to someone who can use it. You'll get a bit less, but the money invested in restoration is big. In some cases, as much as buying new.

That's what I plan on doing. Once the swap is done sell it. I will have a few playfields to sell. This Monster Bash one which will need some restore work. I Twilight Zone one which is really nice doesn't need much at all, and also a STTNG playfield which is probably the worst of the bunch but it is hard to find and someone might want to restore it. :D
