mwong have you ever had problems with PBL's 2-3/16" Coil Sleeves? I bought a bag of 50 from them and none of them fit in the coils. I emailed Terry about them and he told me I must have gotten a bad batch and asked me to send them back to him. I didn't have the time so I just ate the cost. I...
It seems there is no definitive answer. It seems that the consensus is to purchase an entire kit. So much for trying to do my part and reduce waste in the world. Many of the parts can be re-used, but now I going to be throwing away parts that I know I'll never have need for in the future...
I'm on board with you for the first kit (KT-WFLIP06), but I know for a fact that the upper flipper uses a conical spring. This means the second kit you posted (KT-WFLIP-06R) is not correct.
Actually, I'm still confused. When you look at the part breakdown for those kits Steve lists the...
Good point. I'm sure that is true.
To save money, and reduce waste, I opted to only replace the parts that were worn or incorrect. I also strive to to use the correct original parts.
This is why I'm trying to find out if the link is supposed to be tapered or not.
The upper flipper uses the coil spring due to the limited amount of space on the upper PF. I've read about a few people modifying the game to the newer style spring without any difficulties.
This game is all over the map confusion wise as far as flippers go. The upper coil is red. left is...
Would one of the White Water owners out there please tell me if they have tapered flipper link assemblies on their pin?
I'm shopping the flippers on mine and they've been fixed so many times with spare parts over the years that I can no longer tell what is original. That means I'm having to...
From a design aspect, I would think they put the #7 in white to alert the player they only had one more to go. Gives you that "Wake up dummy! You're almost there!" factor to it.
Or they could have ran out of green like you said.
I ended up buying a repro upper to lower yesterday from a member on Pinside. He tossed in his used whirlpool ramp for the price of shipping so I couldn't refuse.
I really appreciate the effort it took to dig these out. I would be VERY interested in your Bigfoot ramp. Mine is held together...
I'm not a seasoned veteran like the guys above me so consider this a layman's perspective. CPR has no effect. If I'm looking for a pin it doesn't matter to me if there are repro parts or CPR playfields available for it. If the PF is down to the wood then I'm more likely to purchase a CPR...
How old are your kids? If they are under 5 years and you are not the most adventurous parent in the world you may want to hold off on coming up here. The 150th is going to be nuts downtown. I'll be keeping my family far away from there and I have a 5 year old and 7 year old. Hell, if they...
Melted mine. It involved a dishwasher. Don't ask for more details. I don't want to cry in a public forum.
Anyone got a decent set of used ones they want to sell?
Decent read. John seems like an okay guy. The only thing he did wrong was post publicly that he had gone and picked it up. I would have just kept quiet and kept it in my basement. Ha!
