For those interested, here's an auction for a NOS Stern Rolling Stones playfield made for the European market with a hole drilled for the "ball save" pop-up post (officially called a "Play-More Post" by Bally). I assume it acts just like the ones used in Bally Atlantis, Gordie Howe's Power Play...
Looks great! Glad you got it back together...I love when games are dropped off with the hardware already ripped off...you can get right down to the fun part, painting!!

spiroagnew's "FREE" Gottlieb Sure Shot
About a month ago, I secured a GTB Sure Shot from Brock/Revolution. He had saved the thing from a barn...and sure did fit the definition of a "barn find" game. I'm not sure Brock had the time to bring this thing back to life...so he passed it along to...
Thanks! I've already found a Stern Nugent head...so I'm good on that front. I may have located a Bally cabinet, which is slightly different than a Stern. It'll work but I'm still keeping hope for a Stern cab.
Looking for a donor cab in the GTA or further afield. Standard size, not widebody. Looking for a complete head/body set or just the body only. Don't need the hardware or rails, but I'll take the coin door if its attached.
Let me know what you have and your price. Please help quick, before...
You can't really know the original colour because of the very factors you mentioned above. But you can come really close if you find an unfaded, unstained example, and further, you can get a good glimpse of the original untainted colours under trim pieces like siderails and coin door frames...
A Tale of Two Volleys - CJBob's Gottlieb Volley and ShootAgain's Gottlieb Volley
I had the opportunity to work on two Volleys for members of the board over the past month. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Canada loves Volley. In the before shots, you can tell CJBob's Volley from the...
Don't worry...your street cred is still in tact here....even though you only have one machine... [emoji12]
Patience is the name of the game. Don't jump the gun (or pay retail).
The Rapid Fire/Hyperball gun game experiment came and went quite quickly. They are the size of a pinball machine, but more of a solid state shooting game than a pinball proper. Hopes were high for these shooting games but demand was not. Unused/unsold Rapid Fire cabs were repourposed by Bally...
I'll second both of these games. I own both.
Despite the varied lineup in my gameroom, Rollergames is the clear winner amongst non-pinhead visitors. Clear objectives, great theme and catchy music. I have people asking if I still have "the roller derby" game years after they visit...and they...
Crack open Clay's guide to the section about coils not working properly.
http://techniek.flipperwinkel.nl/ballyss/rep/index3.htm#driver
I would start by grounding the coil itself and then grounding the TIP102/SCR on the driver board and see if you get any action with the gate. If you do...
