Rule of thumb... whenever you replace a coil transistor ALWAYS replace the associated diode at the same time. It's cheap insurance. (or at the VERY LEAST test the diode with your DMM to ensure it's OK, but even then it could be stressed and fail and then destroy your new transistor / FET)

Just because you have the right tools doesn't mean you've troubleshot the issue correctly. If the new FET is failing after install, there is another issue somewhere else.
You could have done a poor soldering job during install and maybe a small short somewhere? Maybe a short somewhere else...
The BUK9529100B should be interchangeable with the IRL540, so either you've mucked up installing the new FET or you've got another issue somewhere else.

Without a logic probe or o-scope you'll likely never figure out where the issue is, just the nature of sound PCB's. You need to start by verifying the sound PCB CPU is running and work your way out from there.

If the whole game is not working now then it's likely more than just the LM193 that's pooched as that's just the lamp driver section. If all your power supply voltages are good and the game isn't booting, you're going to need to do some pretty heavy diagnostics on the MPU with a logic probe or...
One thing to consider when buying in bulk is having them rust. You need to keep them in some sort of oil, or they will just rust up. I bought 100 at Expo and split with a buddy and even though I had mine coated they still rusted up... just something to think about.
