Sounds like this wasn't thought out all too well, especially with all the publicity... I can see this turning ugly quickly if they get a large turnout and everyone is waiting a long time to play one of the 5 games.

An easier jumper for that would have been to the ground pin of the next FET closest to the one you're fixing. This way you keep the jumper as small as possible. Something to keep in mind for next time.

Yes, that leg of the FET is tied to ground. Jumpers are not always hacks, sometimes they are a necessary evil, but looking at those limited pics I would say the "tech" that worked on that PCB should practice some more...

That glove design is a complete pain in the arse and flakey as all hell. Don't be surprised by these sorts of errors once in a blue moon, you'll chase your tail around and around and get nowhere. Only worry about errors if they are consistently showing up. You can't do much about a poorly...

The only way I'm doing something like that is if I'm already sending in all of the under PF mech's for re-plating. Adding one more piece to the lot doesn't change the price usually... and there's no way I'm chroming it. Nickle plate, absolutely!

I have a few friends / clients that live in the "downtown" area that have varying amounts of pins in their collection, so they are not just folklore!

I'm torn... on one hand I love the authentic look of the original overspray but on the otherhand if I'm going balls out on a restoration it just looks so clean when the insides are painted to match.

I just wanted to thank everyone that has donated to my Heart & Stroke ride this year! I managed to meet my fundraising goals within 24hrs, and I am truely thankful to everyone for all of their support. With still over a month to go, hopefully I can surpass my efforts from last year!
