    Tim's JOKERZ! thread

Yes, mine is quite yellow. I probably will pick one of those up soon. It looks like they don't have the switch I need, though. I'll email them to double check.

BTW, how great is it having more than one machine? I can work on one for a bit, then play a few games on the other!

So, I've taken apart and tested the switch. I get nothing in the open or closed positions. Is it even worth (or possible) trying to fix this switch, or should just buy a new one? Either way I think I'll order a couple just to be safe.

    Tim's JOKERZ! thread

Last post before I hit the sack. Here's a vid showing the game in action so far. I made it before I realized the multiball deficiency: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vqbrNv_kxA&feature=youtu.be There's still a few little pieces that need to be added, (like the fins on either side of the centre...

Hey, sometimes advice needs to be given a few times for it to sink in! I'm always glad to hear from anyone who has useful advice to give. :D

So, I've got the ramps secured, changed half of the rings/bumpers and gave it a bit of a better cleaning. I've been playing it all day, and have been wondering how the hell I lock balls. Logically it seemed it should be when it goes up the centre ramp, and triggers the 2 switches before getting...

LoL, yeah. There's a wicked lean to the right too. It's like a magnet's pulling it to the right flipper. I brought home some very thin brass sheets (.005") to get the ramps transitions made, as well as some material to fix the edge of the upper playfield. I have the day off tomorrow...

So far this is the only 'time capsule' thing I've found... a 1984 quarter in the coin return chute.

I've only got so much time before I head out for work, but here are a few photos of the machine: I took of the ramps, started cleaning a bit, but couldn't resist the urge to power it up. I didn't fasten them down, but I did put the ramps in place. I also had to replace the plug on it first. The...

That's right, it's finally home!! Talk about an exercise in aligning schedules. :FP: I wound up borrowing my dad's SUV and paying the neighbor-kid to come along to help load/unload the machine. I don't know if it's because the machine is a bit lighter than my R911, or because I've learned...

    Hobby Operator Log

That is a completely valid reason for selling a few pins. I'm sure we all hope you document the construction process!

This may be a stretch, but...

Well, after failing to succeed to bring my pin home the past few weeks, I am going to try again on Sunday. Problem is my buddy who'd normally help me out is out of town for the weekend. If there's anyone who thinks they can help a brother out, give me a call. It can happen pretty much anytime...

    spiroagnew's Container Game Experience

Great read indeed! I hope to be finally picking up my 2nd machine on Sunday, so I may have a "Tim's Jokerz thread" started very soon! bstock; I can only attest to my own game, but I was lucky enough to have nothing but a slight musty smell when brought my machine into the basement. That smell...

Ben Affleck will play Batman in 'Man of Steel' sequel

Good qualification. Kevin Conroy will always be the true voice of Batman. ;)

Who has a Hard/Race Drivin' machine?

I never liked any games like Cruisin' USA. (a strong dislike, actually) Playing a couple of them recently has confirmed that for me. Super Sprint was (and still is) amazing, but without an actual SS steering wheel to throw around, it wouldn't be the same. It's the realism of simulators I like...

Who has a Hard/Race Drivin' machine?

Right? That's what I'm worried about. I remember I could run for ever, then race/beat whoever had the best 'ghost' in the final race. It's actually how I learned how to drive a stick shift. :P I've tried watching some vids, but it's hard to get an actual feel for it again. I'd be very surprised...

Who has a Hard/Race Drivin' machine?

Does anyone know of anyone with an Atari Hard/Race Drivin' machine? I used to LOVE that game. I'd think about looking for one, but I'd like a chance to play one again, in case it's not as awesome as I remember it. :)
