That's a fantastic tip! It works like a charm on my HTC.
How susceptible to alignment are the transmitters/receivers? I've changed the spacer that holds the transmitter, and now it always seems to think there is a ball between the sensors. (I changed the receiver spacer to the same one I...
Reading the "INTRODUCE YOURSELF" thread, Doug mentioned something about the best SNL skit ever... this is my candidate:

I see the description 'shopped' used when people are selling a machine. I would figure that it would mean a complete restoration, to make the pin look like it did the day it was manufactured. But now from other people's use I'm starting to think that it means less that that. (tune up vs...
A few people have asked me why I haven't updated this thread in a while. I'm glad to say it's because the machine has been playing great for almost 2 weeks!
Thanks to every one here for all the help. (especially Doug!) I think I'm almost ready to look for another project machine. Maybe one...
Damage can also happen during transit. (I had loose objects in the cabinet that broke a fuse holder off of my power supply)
Definitely expect to do a decent amount of work to get it playing right. That being said other than rubbers/bulbs/1 switch, I haven't had to buy any other parts yet. I've...
Beat my best at PinballPalooza too. I think the best I got was 50 or 60 million.
I didn't get too dig to deep into the game, but one feature I really liked are the 3 tombstone standups on the upper left .
Your vid is the first time I heard the game with the sound up.
Too bad Dyers Eve isn't in...
I was thinking of swapping it with the "ADVANCE BONUS' switch. If I can get one from Doug at SB, I'll go that route. (even if it costs a bit more) I'm a big fan of buying/supporting locally for that sort of thing.
They do have lots of stuff for this machine. I just don't like having to do up a money order to buy stuff. :(
I took it apart, but could not see anything glaringly obvious that needed fixing/soldering. I'll order one up tomorrow.
Re: Converting pinball voltage from European to North Americ
I don't know if that's funny or terrible. (although I'm pretty sure it's a bit of both) I wonder if he ever got it up and running.
Am I correct in assuming that I should ring out when I test this switch when it is closed? This EKG stand up hasn't worked since I got it.
The game's been playing very well over the past couple of nights. Even the pain-in-the-ass optos seem to be behaving themselves!
Fingers crossed, I have it working again. After doing what Doug suggested, I couldn't get my DMM to register any continuity between the A3J3 connector and the switches in question. So I traced the yellow/brown/brown wire through the cabinet, and found that it connected to the lamps that light up...
So far I've tested the kickers and slingshots. I get no readings at all.
I just want to make sure I'm doing it right:
I've got my negative in the back side of the connector. (I tested the connection by putting the positive in the other end of the connector to make sure the negative is in right)...
