Just thought I'd wrap this thread up seeing as the Ride for Heart is done for another year.
The weather yesterday was absolutely perfect for those of us that started our ride nice and early as most of us finished long before the heat set in. That said, I managed to finish 75.35kms in exactly...
I manged to snag a hardcover copy of this book a few years ago for cheap off Ebay. For anyone that is a serious collector definitely worth checking out.

I'm convinced SB shills all of their on-line auctions, just like they have been known to do at some of their live auctions. Now that it's on-line the anonymity just makes it that much easier, which is likely why you see some crazy prices.

Try Ed at Great Plains Electronics, or even Digikey or Newark.
If you're handy with the soldering iron you could always pull one of the other known good resistors and install it in the suspect location to verify your findings. If it works, then you can install your replacement resistor when it...
Production on the first 65 units has apparently begun, as those owners have been required to pay up their portion of the game costs. I would suspect to see games shipping by mid summer and continue into the beginning of next year.

It should not beep, it's a resistor not a diode. My guess is that resistor is shot, but if you have any other of the same type in the game I would test those to see what you get. Alternatively you could grab any resistor from anywhere and test with your DMM to make sure you're using it...
I'd have to look at the schematic but the resistor is either used to "warm up" the flashers or used as a load resistor. If the resistor is borked then it's likely the reason your flashers are not working.
As to your DMM question, if the resistor is 5R you should get a 5R reading when in 200...
The resistor I'm guessing is one of the large ceramic type, it should have a value printed on it. I'm not familiar with your DMM so not sure what you mean by getting a reading of 1 and trying different ranges? I would pull one leg of the resistor out of circuit and test again to ensure a...
Re: FS Cabinet STickers / Backbox, playfield
+1. If you're restoring a game to N/A spec's it should have all of the pertinent stickers / ratings installed vs. what was originally in the game.

If they were all wired in series (which is what you are describing) every single lamp in the game would flash all at the same time so I don't think that logic is quite right.
Now, usually they all have a common power wire and then each one (or bank) would be tied back to a MOS-FET (Sys3 used...
Re: FS Cabinet STickers / Backbox, playfield
These are always handy to have when doing restorations. I've still got a bunch that I got from TC years ago. Not sure you'd want the export versions of the stickers though? Unless you restore the game to it's original shipping configuration and...
